DIY paper banners for Cinco de Mayo
Several blogs offer instructions for making simplified papel picado (perforated paper) banners. These would be fun to whip up for a Cinco de Mayo shindig or birthday party. Find directions here:

Thanks so much for including my papel picado streamers! Can't wait for Cinco de Mayo!
Seems to me I've seen little cacti used for placecard holders recently. How are yours doing?

Ooh, nice! My apartment could use some color.
BTW, you want to see a country bathes in orange? Check out Queen Beatrix' abdication and new King Of the Netherlands on 4/30/2013..., not a single person in the country not wearing orange :-)
Thanks for these links! What a fun project. Pinning!
Thank you for posting this! I have lots of ideas for my party on Monday (c'mon what Monday doesn't need a delayed Cinco De Mayo margarita?) thanks to the epic links you left!
lovely papel picado! and such warm colors... these would be great for other occasions as well... a kid's birthday party could use some of these...
