Modern DIY supplies coming to Target
Todd Oldham has teamed up with Target to produce a collection of art supplies inspired by his 2009 book, Kid Made Modern. The kits and supplies are geared toward children, but I'm eyeing this duct tape! Todd suggests making wallets and messenger bags with it. Check out the Charley Harper paint-by-number sets, too—you can make your own painting on wood for some nifty DIY wall art. 
Also available are crayons shaped like gems, wooden jewelry kits, a comic book set with rubber stamps, and more. All supplies and kits are under $20 and available at Target (in stores and online) starting May 20.

I've always thought Target needed and arts & crafts/sewing department. And a garden center. They would have the best stuff!!! Of course I would go way into debt!!!

Oh wow! This is super exciting! Those Charley Harper paint kits are especially alluring...
I'll have to get the Charlie Harper paint kits. I've been eyeing his coloring book but these will be even better! I have the perfect spot for this art. Can't wait until May 20th.

Sort of related... I bought some washi tape (Target's up & up) brand there last month. Four rolls in a pack for $4. There were three different packs to choose from in red, green and blue, and each pack had one solid colored roll and three patterned rolls.
Hmmm ... we could do with some of these goodies in one of our UK supermarkets *sigh*

Todd's Kid Made Modern arts/crafts book is one of our family favorites! And anything peppered with Charlie Harper's stuff is a sure winner.

Very jealous that we don't have Target in the UK...and they don't ship internationally either! Bah.
Is it bad that I put the date for this into my calendar? Yes? Well, I don't care, I NEED those paint-by-numbers. My crafty streak needs them, and so do the walls in my apartment.

I've had a few good finds from Target in the past and am so excited for these new items to come out, especially the duct tape! I'm a sucker for anything I can use to add simple decoration and personality to items =)
