My new favorite magazine
Can the Danish magazine BoligLiv be my new favorite magazine, even though I can't read a word of it? Awhile back they contacted me for permission to use a small photo of my DIY bunting birthday card, offering to send over a magazine when the September issue was printed.
Guys, it's so lovely and full of products I'm coveting. Sofas! Bookshelves! Pillows! I want to make all the recipes and live in all the beautifully photographed homes. Apparently in Denmark, everything is spare and modern with a dose of quirkiness to keep it fun.
Google suggests that BoligLiv means "housing life." If that's a weird translation, maybe a Danish reader can help me out. Visit BoligLiv's site right here, translated into English. Be sure to check out the Creative Ideas section. Some project highlights:
A customized roller shade with instructions right here. (Or rather, "A drop down with a personal aside," as Google helpfully informs us.)
A mismatched mosaic tile backsplash, right here. Enjoy browsing!

congrats on being featured - what a gorgeous magazine!
I just need to know what a 'vimpler' is!
"vimpler" is kinda like a lot of small flags on a line
It's beautiful, isn't it?! I found out about the mag in the same way, the editor contacted me asking if they could use my heart bunting (you can see it on the right page in your first image) and now I really wish I could own half of the stuff in the rest of the mag!
Boligmagasinet is also my farvorite magazine :)
Hi, I LOVE 'Boligliv' ( I'm Danish) and look forward to receiving it every month. There are always funky cheap DIY ideas. Absolutely great that you like the style in it.
A friend was just telling me about this wonderful magazine. I've got to get my hands on one! When I travel to Sweden, I always stock up on Scandinavian home magazines at the airport. I love, love, love them.
I love how the neon colored yarn for the shade costs "29 million"
Just got back from Norway...and I spent so much time just soaking up all the great design books and home inspiration magazines. I wish I could have afforded a whole armload to bring home! (Well, I did succumb to bringing a few books and one design magazine home).
Of course I stop scrolling when I see "irresistible baking recipes." Good translation, Google!
I love searching for ideas using google translate - you find all sorts of neat things - that magazine's blog is pretty neat :-)

(Or rather, "A drop down with a personal aside," as Google helpfully informs us.)
- This sentence keeps cracking me up!
I don't know why it says 29 million for the Neon Yarn, It says 29kr in Danish.
Ohhh. looks like pure eye candy. I wouldn't be able to read it either. :)
"A drop down with a personal aside" Great sentence :D And it looks great, too.
Love what's pictured here and the inspiration!
Oh, yes it's my favorite magazine too. And I can read it too....Housing life, is a good translation. Only I think of it more like "life in the home"...:-)
I enjoy your blog very much.

I'm studying Danish right now (we're Americans living in Copenhagen) and Bolig Liv is my motivation! I look forward to every single issue! It was so fun seeing you in there! Congrats!!
I am so impressed with your Danish. That is really great. I know from other americans, that it is a hard language to learn.
Do you like it here in DK?
Also thanks for stopping by at my blog . :-) KR Hanne
Im also a dane ande enjoy the magazine BoligLiv.
But most of my inspiration comes from blogs and magazines from other countries. Not to mention old danish magazines from the seventies. That is great fun!
'Home living' would be my suggestion - Great blog anyway :) Greetings from sunny-autumn-Denmark
