A flower makes everything better
Note to self: when wrapping a gift with a weird shape, it doesn't matter how strange the package looks. Slap a flower on it and people will like it. Paper flower tutorial here.

Wise. And beautiful.
: )
Is that gift for me???
:-)
I like the way you used orange tape like quilt binding, too! I will be copying that.
so true... and so lovely.
Let me add: the flower is made out of the Urban Outfitters paper bag that the present came in. They have awesome bags right now that are kraft paper color on the outside and bright orange on the inside. Super cool.
I agree! gorgeous!
The orange tape is AWESOME!
Love it!
Looks good. For some reason I always find myself wrapping oddly shaped things, so this will be helpful. Thank you.
You are always so full of practical, lovely ideas. x
Yes, the outside was almost as good as the inside! :)
I will love it... I promise!
Oh. Maybe it was for Rachel, huh?
Happy Birthday, Rachel!!
Agreed! Have to file that tip away.
OoOh, it's so great... Thanks a lot for the tuto !
Darn those odd-shaped gifts! My favorite part of gift wrapping is the embellishing, anyway.
I read on someone's blog that stores should start making their bags like gift wrap, so you can buy a gift, carry it out, and wrap away! Whether intentional or not, love that you did this with an Urban Outfitters bag.
You are absolutely right. Love your posting!
That is so clever :) I'm quite in love with the plain brown paper wrapping anyway, and with those you can always use almost anything to make it pretty! The paper flower is darling, and I love that you reused the paper bag!
Love it! Super helpful because I really need some help in the wrapping department ;)
That flower adds just the right touch to that package! Super cute!
I loved your tutorial on how to make the paper flowers! I currently have several in a vase in my home. In fall colors, of course! I can't wait to use them on gifts!
so gorgeous. :)
