Orange birthday yumminess
Thank you for all your warm birthday wishes last week! And to those who wondered if I'd be eating orange cake: YES. I stole this photo collage right off my friend Megan's blog so I could show you. Megan made graham cracker cookies with orange icing, Jamie made a chocolate orange marble cake, Michelle brought some amazing Ciao Bella blood orange sorbet, and Emery gave me the cutest orange card. I felt very celebrated by these dear friends. If you're interested in the recipes, clicking the names of the ladies will take you to their own posts with links. Thank you, everyone!

Well, orange you glad you have really great friends who actually feed your color obession? That's sweet! I'm glad a waited a couple days to go to jcaroline to check stock again, because now your stuff's on sale! Whew!
... And for someone who is trying to learn to love purple, your new birthday cards would never give you away: they are lovely! I ordered some and would send one right back 'atcha, except that would be silly. But happy (belated) birthday – you've got some good friendships going on, too, food-wise. Love that Ciao Bella!
Happy birthday (belated)!!
I think it's your blog that influenced my new (for the last year) favorite color to be orange. LOVE it and can't get enough of it.
My purse from last year (that I just brought out again recently) is bright orange patent-leather-y looking and people love it. But so do I!
Well, 'I' got a yummy chocolate heart-shaped birthday cake last night with TURQUOISE frosting that matched my new paint in my sewing room, thanks to your sister-in-law! So we had fun, too, albeit a day late thanks to another yucky snowstorm.
Birthday hugs,
Mum

I have to send you the recipe I have for orange "brownies" (there's not chocolate).
They are divine.
Or you could google it. It's a Paula Dean recipe, I think.
I googled and got it! Thanks!
Our queen (from the Netherlands) would be delighted with so much orange yumminess!
Less than 2 weeks to go, and we will celebrate Queens Day, a national holiday. The country will be all orange for a day!
