2014 Oscar bingo is coming soon

I've been getting gobs of email asking if I'll be making Oscar bingo cards again this year. You betcha. This will be the sixth year. I'm collecting info on the 2014 ceremony and will make up the cards a week or two before the show. There will be 20 different cards again, plus a matching ballot guests can fill out before the ceremony. (See the 2013 set here.) I'll post the free printable PDFs here on my blog.

To be notified when they're ready, add yourself to the Oscar bingo mailing list.

Update: Bingo is ready! Grab it here.

Fun facts: Over 1,000 people have signed up, and last year the bingo was featured on LIVE with Kelly & Michael on TV. So I'd better not screw it up.

The 2014 Oscars air March 2 at 7e/4p on ABC.

Can I ask for feedback from those who use them? I always design the sheets in black and white with no bleeds so they won't suck up an entire color ink cartridge. Do you like them in simple B/W, or would you prefer a fancier design in full color?

I've used them for the past 2 years and we love them! They are the perfect addition to my Oscar party and make watching the show so much more entertaining!. I like the Black and White design, my party is always: gold, yellow, black and white. Thanks for keeping up the tradition!

That's a good point--black goes with everything.

B/W makes sense, although you could also make a colored set and give people the option to choose? Or too much work? :)

I thought about that, but 40 bingo cards and 2 ballots is a pretty massive pile of work, yes. I don't have that much time and energy, I'm afraid.

I used them last year for my Oscar party and am so glad you are posting them again this year. They are a big hit... especially when the winners get prizes. I think the black & white work great. I don't see a need for colored ones.

Black and white works great for me too. They're always a big hit at my Oscar party, with people shouting out things like "Oh, I just need someone with a French accent to come out here and present an award!" and "Oh! Where is Sean Connery?"

I've used them for many years (thank you!) and I would stick with black and white. They're great the way they are!

I use these every year! in fact, my kids ASK me about these. they don't know how to watch the Oscars without them!
we are very perfectly wonderfully happy with the B&W format. elegant and classy. if people want color, they can print on colored paper or give their guests some crayons!
thank you for being a part of our family's tradition!

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for doing these. I've used them at my parties and even though I've taken my Oscar party online, I always provide a link to them for people to use at home. I think black and white is perfect because it's a lot of printing and it goes with any party colour scheme.

Black and white are perfect. I've used them for the last couple of years and even printed off a bunch to pass around to friends who were watching, but not having a party. It makes the whole event SO much more fun!
Thank you for doing this. I started watching for these back in January!

Black and white is fine. Just print them on colored paper if you want some color. Thanks for making these! My husband already asked about them.

Looks like it's unanimous so far--black and white works! Thanks, you guys.

I love your Bingo cards and have used for the last two years!! I think B/W is fine! It fits perfectly with an old Hollywood theme. I usually do a classic Red/Gold/Silver for my Oscar party, so the B/W fits in perfect.

Black and white is great! I have used them the past two years and look forward to using them again this year. I have a bring a food item themed to a nominee party and give prizes for food, bingo and ballot. Thank you for doing this! Bingo is always a highlight!

B&W is perfect. All anyone cares about is being able to mark the square. I've used your cards in the past and really appreciate all your hard work. I pre-mark the squares with a gold bingo dauber in the shape of the Oscar statue. That is the pattern my guests need to fill instead of just 5 in a row. It makes the game last a little longer and really sets the theme.

Hey Jessica! I regret not making plain black and white bingo cards... I think bw is probably easier on people's printers. But if anyone is looking for red - (and a bingo card done in old school "auto-bingo" form...) you can download them here: http://alilcurious.com/2014/02/23/oscars-bingo/
