Ayres is a condensed serif typeface designed by Mariel Gornati. It's got some pretty ligatures and alternate characters. Download it at the bottom of this page at Behance— free for personal and commercial use. (Firefox works best.)
Thanks, Leeann. I'm seeing "Licencia gratuita para uso personal y comercial" at the top of the page, which translates to "freeware for personal and commercial use."
The readme document included with the download states "Even though its free for personal and comercial use, I'd appreciate you contact me to know how's it been used or just for any sugestions and/or comments. Thanks a lot for downloading! -Mariel Gornati."
So we just need to do Mariel the courtesy of stating how it's used for commercial projects. Or if any doubt, always contact the designer, of course.
Hmm, I just downloaded it again with no problem. Are you saving the .rar file on your computer? When I double click to expand the .rar file, it opens normally and the font files are in there (your choice of .otf and .ttf). I didn't reinstall the .otf since my copy from yesterday works fine. Are you having a problem with the font files themselves, or are you having trouble opening the compressed .rar file that contains all the goodies?

Very nice. I'll add it to my collection ;)
The download link is broken :(
I downloaded it a few hours ago and it worked--I had to use Firefox instead of Safari.
Thanks! (I got it to work on Chrome.)

You are in the UK's Guardian newspaper!! well done!
Am I blind? I don't see where to download the font?
Click the text link that says "Descarga AQUÍ" at the bottom of the Behance page.
CraftyClaire, thanks for letting me know! Cool!
It's beautiful, but I don't think it's free for commercial use, just FYI.

I am sad. It will not let me download this font. I get an error.. Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR (used Chrome)
Anyone know what I can do?
Thanks :)
Firefox worked for me yesterday.
Wow!

Thank you so muck for let us know it.
I tried downloading the file with Safari and Firefox, but no luck. It won't install the font/read the file

I was able to download and install without problem. Older macbook using Firefox. Looks nice too!
Make sure you're clicking on the word "AQUI". The "Descarga" part wasn't part of the link when I tried it. Maybe that will help?
Beautiful font! Thank you!
