My home office
The Creative Group, a staffing agency for creative jobs, is doing a blog series on the offices of designers. They interviewed me recently to ask about working from home. You can read my answers and find a few snapshots on the TCG blog.
I'm feeling nostalgic about my workspace since I'll be packing it up this week for the move to Cincinnati. Movers arrive a week from today, eek! And then we're off to our new (very old) house in Newport, KY, just across the river from downtown. I'll give you a peek soon.

Amazing!
I have been feeling a lot of cow love, too! Glad to see I'm not so odd! Cows are delightfully photogenic/paint-ogenic!

Wow... only a week!! Can't wait to see the NEW office! And everything else.....

Wow! Cool! And how exciting that you get to create a whole new office soon. I'm sure it'll be rockin'... and orange. : )
You're moving so very close to my family (aunt and cousin)! It seems like a great place to live. Good luck and best wishes in your new place!
Be sure to do some shopping at Jungle Jim's in Cincy! Lots of fun.
Excited to see where you end up! Old houses are my favorite...the historic charm & character, they just don't make them like that anymore.
And, yes, Jungle Jim's is a must visit. Anything you can possibly think of (strange, gourmet, hard-to-find, foreign) you can almost guarantee will be found there.
It will be one of the first places I check out!
I just wanted to say good luck with your move. I hope you enjoy Northern Kentucky as much as I have! :)
Chicago will miss you, Jessica.

And I will sure miss Chicago!
I loved seeing your colorful things. My husband and I love orange in our home office too! I think our favorite item is an orange file cabinet we got from cb2. Just the perfect orange/reddish shade. Amazing how much that can brighten up a room!
Wonderful! I have a red-orange bookshelf from CB2 that I love. Wish I had everything in that store!
Oh, wow! Thanks for bringing orange awesomeness to the south.
LOL! I just read THIS post after reading your latest one -- you ARE in Newport. These 12-foot ceiling homes are great for warding off depression (even w/ the dark wood). You'll love it here. By the way, I am BRAND-spanking new to quilting (just researching and buying WAY too much fabric for the last several months) so if you ever feel the need to mentor -- I'm your woman!
Newport! Not sure what your music tastes are, but you must check out the Southgate House Revival!
Thanks! I'll investigate!
Your office is awesome. I would be sad to pack it up too, but there is nothing quite like the challenge of a new space! I think it is fun to rethink and re-invision your stuff for a new home.
