Decorating ideas using wallpaper
I've had wallpaper on my mind ever since Chasing Paper licensed one of my designs for their self-adhesive, removable wallpaper collection (read about that here). I tried out one of the sample pieces on this TV tray. I might stick a chunk on the back of my iPad, too.
It's fun to think about ways to add wallpaper to a home without the cost of doing a wall or an entire room. The panels at Chasing Paper are 2 ft. x 4 ft., so perfect for smaller projects like these:
Frame out a large section of wallpaper with some crown molding.
Cover a cart (or bookshelf on wheels) with wallpaper.
Stick wallpaper inside a bookshelf for a graphic patterned backdrop.
Wallpaper a headboard.
Give your stair risers some extra oomph. This is a Chasing Paper print.
Wallpaper your fridge. This is Chasing Paper, too!
Add pattern to the laundromat you manage.

This is such an amazing, amazing idea! Thank you so much for sharing. I especially love the wall paper in the huge frame, amazing.
The fridge and washing machine images have ideas spinning in my hear! Super cool.
Now I KNOW I can find something to put some on!
What a fun laundromat! :)

Lovely ideas! The problem is where to find small pieces of wallpaper as they are usually sold in rolls of several meters.
Oh, that's why I made this post-- the stuff at Chasing Paper is self-adhesive, removable, and comes in 2 ft by 4 ft panels. So you can just buy a little.
Fun! It is like having a great piece of art!
I love the decorated laundy mat!
Decorating using wallpaper is a great idea. I like this so much. Thanks for this.
These are some great ideas! I know I don't even think about using wallpaper, but there are so many fun designs. What a great way to display them!!
Now that's a laundromat I'd happily bring my quarters to.
:)
Great idea! I have a lot of wallpaper, and now, a lot of ideas to use it!
kisses, Cristina
Whoa, I don't own a laundromat but I would definitely visit that one.
And I *do* have a very ugly stacked washer-dryer unit in an open niche of my apartment! I wonder how the heat would affect it (but for the cost of the Chasing Paper papers, it is def worth trying out).
I've been quietly reading your posts without commenting for several years now. These ideas for using wallpaper are inspirational and make me wish we had a branch of 'Chasing Paper' in the UK. Love the idea of covering the fridge - white, etc, gets so boring!
Lovely work, congratulations.
I have long thought wallpaper was dead, but this is the second time in a week I have been inspired to go check out some rolls, or in this case, sheets. Could be the universe is telling me something...
