I found something wonderful at Jeannie Jeannie. Art installations by Sakir Gokcebag made of... toilet paper rolls. I really, really want someone to attempt this at home.
My two year old would be delighted! At least for the 30 seconds before she tore it to bits.
It really looks lovely though. I think it could be a fun party game for adults. Put a few nails in the wall to mount the rolls and see what each team comes up with :)
there are another great artist that work with everyday objects like a big woman shoe made of Stainless steel pans, see: http://www.joanavasconcelos.com/det_en.aspx?f=1364&o=623
It's like giant paper quilling. I like :) My daughter just discovered the fun of pulling toilet paper off the roll today, so I don't think this would last too long in our house now...
Oh, to have a larger wall in my bathroom... I really like this - so creative. On the artist's site, there's a great photo (the third one) that shows three men in a circle of deep discussion standing in front of the installation. Very enjoyable. :)
I had to come back and post this. I saw it and thought of the toilet paper... A giant (and nicely orangey) vortex of tape: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2013/02/a-giant-geometric-vortex-of-colored-tape-by-megan-geckler/
I love your work, especially these pictures and would love to hear from you on my website on quilling patterns It would be great if you could leave a comment or maybe even post your own article or tutorial.

If someone gave me a blank wall and a bunch of toilet paper rolls, I'd try it. Looks fun!
And then we could turn some cats loose in there. Extra fun!
who knew toilet roll could be so elegant?
Yes, that was my first thought... my cat would have a blast!! I can just imagine the fun! :)

My cat would have a field day! :P
I'd love to help you out, but I have a cat...
My first thought: Cat's funpark! And I agree with Grandma G :)

Can you imagine dusting that after a while?! I guess that'd be a good time to turn the cats loose. ;)

Perhaps this is what our puppy is trying to do. We have tp all over the house every morning...

Yes, I think this must be the look he's going for. You should give him a ladder.
These are awesome! Never seen toilet paper look so pretty.

I would, but I feel like I would make a mistake and there goes my art installation, ripped down the middle!
