New embroidery floss from Sublime Stitching

Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching sent over samples of her brand new, debut line of embroidery floss. She's pretty excited. Or in her words, "giddy and thrilled and dancing around hugging herself" because this project was a year in the making.

Choose from nine different sets of floss, each with a unique, carefully selected color palette that tells a story. No need to struggle to pick colors that look good together for a project, because Jenny already did it for us.

Each paper band has a tiny message on it, just for fun.

The floss colors won't run, bleed or fade when washed. Need some? Purchase packs here for $6 each.

Free pattern alert! You can also download a complimentary mustache embroidery pattern. Or browse all the stitching patterns and supplies on the website, including tote bag kits like this mountain design, my fave.

I'm not an embroiderer, unless it's to a story I'm telling, but I feel some friendship bracelets coming on...

Update: Yup, sure enough.

I don't embroider, so I've never been over to sublime stitching before. These beautiful little color packs inspried me. Now I'm in love with the "Spaced Out" patterns. Maybe I need to learn to embroider...

These are very cool! I do embroider, and I love interesting floss.

I embroider small samplers and usually spend about a year on them.

I haven't made friendship bracelets since I was about 13, and I haven't worn a floss bracelet that had to stay on constantly since I was about 19. I wonder if there's a way to make a friendship bracelet that isn't permanently tied to your wrist. I wear grown up clothes to work, and friendship bracelets might be awesome, but they're not necessarily great for work (although I bet they are bracelets I can wear when I'm at the computer for 12-14 hours!

I love Sublime Stitching! The Sublime Stitching book is fantastic for both experienced embroidery folks and beginners. Love these color packs too and at $6, that's a steal. It's going on my wishlist for sure.

So pretty!! My mom taught me how to embroider when I was a little girl. Maybe I should try it again. :D

There's a way to make friendship bracelets removable, it's some sort of sliding knot (can't remember the name right now). I work in healthcare and I can't wear my bracelets at work either.

Love these floss colours, just need to finish my other projects!!
For JUMPS here's a knot you can use to make your bracelets removable: http://tammypowley.com/2009/08/18/knot-your-normal-knot-bracelet/
Hope it helps!
