Make an origami dress card
A simple origami dress makes a sweet DIY greeting card. It's a good option for Mother's Day, bridesmaids and bridal showers, or birthday cards for fancy ladies. I made a quick chevron pattern in Illustrator and printed it on computer paper, then folded this little frock from a 4-inch square. I printed a greeting on plain cardstock and attached the dress with double-stick tape. Using a map or old book pages would be nice, too. Follow this video to learn how to fold the origami dress.

and that dress looks more vintage haha ^^
What a coincidence -- I watched this video about five times yesterday!
I made origami dress cards for mother's day this year! (Last year, I cut out dresses... but was saddened to realize they looked kinda matronly!)
My dresses were different than the ones you made. But I love yours too, so I made one immediately. :)

This is perfect just what I was looking for. Thanks!
K Blue, those look great!
Dang. That's cute. That. Is. Cute.
If any of your people need a piece of chevron patterned paper, I have a couple to choose from on my blog. The chevrons are wider than yours but if they are printed at a reduced size (the pattern takes up the whole page so this would work) you'd have it.

Love it! It was an origami dress that started me on my project: I'm making a little dress every day for a year, and having a great time doing them. www.365creativedresses.blogspot.com
I fell in love with this card when I saw it on pinterest and had to try my hand at making one myself. I must say that it's addicting bc I ended up making six! I'd love for you to check them out if you get a chance. Thanks so much for your inspiration! :)

I love that you added necklaces! Fun!
Inspired by you, I whipped a few up. Much easier than making a real dress, and so gorgeous! Your post was just in time for mothers' birthday season - May and Jume. Thank you so much. How mine turned out.
Cute! I'm thinking of making these these for "change of a dress" cards, as I have recently moved.
That was great. There is so much I will be able to do with it. I love origami. Thank you.
So sweet! Love it
Lovely dress and great choice of paper :)
