Kern Type, a typography game

Test your graphic design skills with Kern Type. "Kerning" is the practice of adjusting the spacing between characters, evenly balancing the negative space for an attractive result. If you imagined that your company's logo designer plucked a pretty little icon out of the air, typed the company name next to it, and called it a day, think again! The characters in each word are nudged around to achieve perfect visual balance. (If the designer was a pro, that is.) Give it a try yourself.

Someone sent me this weeks ago, and I've been kerning ever since. Crazy how once you start, it's a struggle to stop.

Very fun .. a few of them I got spot on but sadly those bad ones balanced it out for a total of 84/100. Gotta practice more. :-)

96/100. I like that I didn't quite hit 100 as, although I was in agreement for most of the suggested kerning, there were a few where I felt my result looked a bit better and more balanced. Interestingly enough, every time I was "off," I'd positioned things slightly to the left of the example provided by the pros.

Very funny. Reminds me of this zipup a graphic designer friend has-when you zip it up, you are "kerning" and bringing the letters together! http://marketplace.veer.com/merch/VPR0001260

95/100 Not bad for not even knowing what kerning meant 5 minutes ago. Either it was super easy or I have a knack for it.
