Rex Ray wall decals at Blik
Friends, humans, countrymen, lend me your eyes! My friend Susie just sent over a link to these new wall decals at Blik, saying "You like Rex Ray, right?" Heck yes I do. While I feverishly try to think of a place to put these, you should go have a look if you like playful, retro graphics.
Every few months I hear someone say that wall decals aren't in anymore. Nonsense. What better way to put a cool image on your blank wall, for relatively little cash, that won't harm your paint job? Long live wall decals!

I love love love! and i think wall decals are still gna be around for a while yet, theyre not just great for walls but plain furniture, in kids rooms etc...x
What! I love Rex Ray!! Gracious that's the coolest thing. Can't wait!
I've seen so many cool wall decals around, and every time, I regret the texture on our walls that keeps me from using them. Boohoo.
Mum
Wall decals arent in? Who said that?! The things are awesome and the only thing that wouldnt be in would be a way/style to use them in... I've seen too many timeless decals that would look great regardless the time.
@Grandma G: how about a blank, stretched canvas? Wall art that changes as you change the decals! No worries about the wall texture.
Hey, great idea, Sarah! Maybe something I should put on my Christmas list! (Did you hear that, Jess?)
Noted, Mum! :)
hey! check that out! wow, I really feel powerful and influential now, Jess!
So glad you liked the link. :)
wall decals, happy.
rex ray, happy.
Friends who send me cool links, happy.
I like them a lot, but it's not really my style ^^. Made me think of what I would really like actually, and I saw your banner : is there is decals existings from your designs? I can see at least 3 places in my house I would be happy to see them.
"Beyond the Borrow" makes me feel like I'm on the set of the Jetsons, or some other 60's cartoon reel.
Groovy!
I meant "beyond the borough"
'Beyond the borrow' has a nice ring to it, though; I think I'll use it as the title for my next novel.
anyway, I was just reading the FAQ and turns out..
"Blik will also not adhere to fibrous materials (fabric), not even unpainted canvas."
boo! I was totally going to use the canvas idea
here, here! Long live decals!
Love the colours and the "textured" look.
On the subject of decals, I am not a fan of the designs you just see everywhere and just lack originality : big eiffel towers, big bens, statues of liberty and any other recognisable landmark, random sentences etc... The idea is great but if you see the same design everywhere it just gets boring.
I suppose my point is : long live original and pretty decals like these ones, which will truly bring something to your home!
Del4yo: There aren't decals of my designs, but that's a fun idea. Hmm....
Jayna: Nice novel title. :) Thanks for doing that research. I guess Blik has been asked this question before about the canvas. Maybe the decals could stick on a wood panel or something, or a dry-erase white board, or on the clear glass or acrylic on a large, inexpensive poster frame... trying to think of what's smooth and big! Although I guess then you'd just buy a poster instead. :)
Maila, I agree. No more Eiffel towers!
ooh, that reminds me! living social is having a $15 for $30 deal for blik in my area. link if you're interested: http://livingsocial.com/deals/132529-30-to-spend-on-wall-decals?msdc_id=1
I agree with you, wall decals can definitely spruce up a room. My sister's new baby's room is INFINITELY more lovely thanks to a very cute pink dandy-lion decal that looks as if it is being blown in the wind. :)
GREAT blog and wonderful photographs. :) Keep 'em comin'!
I LOVED wall decals when we were renting. It's an easy way to add personality to a home when it's not yours to paint and such.
