A little fun for Friday: take a quiz from HomeGoods to help you determine your decorating style. Created by Deborah Needleman, former editor-in-chief of Domino magazine, the test also offers tips for how to fix up your space. I was deemed an "Earthy Modern" (nice) but my "Happy Home Colors" were all tints of lavender (no thanks). See how you turn out!

Hmmm! I'm Earthy Casual & my colors are yellows & oranges. While I like those colors, I don't have any in my home!
I got "Bohemian Classic," and a bunch of oranges for my "happy colors." I'm actually more of a purple/lavender person. Perhaps we should trade?
I'm Elegant Classic. Which would be my style totally if I didn't live with a man and 3 kids...lol.

I got the damn lavender colors too - it's because of the flowers and accessories - weren't any good colors for me there (fall tones are me!)

Wow, they pretty much nailed it with me, "Dramatic Modern". I like the look of modern furniture, bold colors & geometric designs, but with some ornate decorations for the room too, which is exactly what they said in the description.
And yes, the colors seemed to be based on the flowers, which I don't really agree with.
I'm Dramatic Modern. Which is funny. My home is MCM throughout. I keep looking at hollywood regency things and would like to mix them in but can't figure out a way to make them look good. That would be the Dramatic aspect of the modern. Obviously I have strong feelings about adding the Drama! My colors were yellow and orange. So not me. Thanks for pointing out the fun quiz!

I was Country Eclectic which is exactly right but the colours were yellow/orange which are not really my favourites. I like pink, red, green, blue...
dramatic modern for me! my happy home colours were peach, mauve, brown, yellow and orange which i didn't like at first but now that i think about it, i like the colours separately but not together fun quiz. thanks!

Mine was Earthy Modern and spot on! I love yellows oranges and greens and have lots in my home mixed in with taupes and browns. Fun thanks for sharing!

Have you seen what Deborah Needleman is doing now? It's the Wall Street Journal's monthly magazine. It's fabulous. It comes out on the last weekend of the month. Totally different from Domino. A lot of their writers are working on the WSJ's weekend Off Duty section, which is also excellent.
I am An Earthy Modern! The answers to me were pretty much what I figured- My Design Challenge is to Maximize, my happy home are browns and taupes. I would throw a little green in their as well

I was deemed an "Elegant Classic" -- which, I'd say is pretty true. Colors suggested were grays with a few tans... love!
So funny, these questions seem so dumb, then they totally got me - Global Casual with reds, pinks and greys. Said i need to "unify". whatever. Jumbled is a style.

How funny, all my colors came up orange. While I do love it, it's really best for me as a companion to the purples and greens I adore.
Wow, that was pretty accurate for me...Earthy Modern. I had two Happy Home colors on my main living room walls already!
Bohemian Classic - didn't even know that was a style. And yellow as my happy colors? Nah.
Ooh I got Bohenmian Casual. The colors were perfect and the discription true. I had actually used a couple of the happy colors in my bathroom.

Country Casual with an ORANGE color palette! I'm not so sure about the Country part, but the Casual part is definitely me.
Wow, so interesting! The quiz nailed me as "country classic" but my happy colors ... dark brown, gray, beige ... are so NOT me. I prefer pinks and greens and blues. Ah, well.
