Tuxedo t-shirt upgraded
This chair is wearing Alex's new do-it-yourself tuxedo t-shirt for our Oscars party. It's the reverse of last year, when I printed the tux graphic in black on our inkjet and ironed it onto a white t-shirt. This year I happened to have some white flocked iron-on material, so I cut out the pieces with my Silhouette cutter and applied them to a black t-shirt. My white stuff was only 9" wide, so it still required cutting out the graphic in two separate pieces. But if you don't look too closely, you can't see the splice. Get the tuxedo template here.

Until now I just loved your works. But this is out of any taste!!!
Sorry. Where did you find such a cheesy idea.
Haha! I guess "anonymous" hasn't heard of FUN!
AND she hasn't seen Alex IN it!! ;)))
Oh, it's still super cheesy with him in it, alright. I'm just hoping I can find a hideous thrift store dress in time... it's going to be hard to top last year's black and gold number with the giant bow. I believe in maximum cheese for the Oscars.
That's why we're having cheese soup. Seriously. White cheddar soup swirled in a bowl with black bean soup to create black and white Black Swan soup. With Black Swan chocolate martinis, too. In plastic gold glitter martini glasses from the party store. Woo hoo!
Oooohh!! Cheesy, indeed!! LOL
Ehh ? I will Think twice now before clicking on this adress.
I think Monday's post should contain pics! (Or at least my email!) ;)
hehe it looks great... always loved t-shirts that mimic other types of shirts...
Absolutely smashing! I love it! What fun for a party at home!
That's adorable! A shirt like that might be the only way I could get my husband to wear a tux...and definitely the cheapest! It's very creative. I don't know what Anonymous's deal is, but their time would be better spent studying some grammar and spelling than criticizing others. You certainly should have to put up with such cowardly remarks.
LOL....I love the idea of a "cheesy" oscar party...hope you guys have loads of fun!
Wear it loud, wear it proud! ;) And I'm with Emily Joyce- you shouldn't have to put up with cowardly remarks and people who hide behind the name Anonymous just to say whatever they want. :( I know everyone has their own opinion, and they are entitled to it, but saying stuff like that is unnecessary- we're supposed to build each other up, so here I am saying that I LOVE the idea of cheesiness for the Oscars! Can't wait to see pics!
Ever since I was little, I wanted to marry someone wearing a tuxedo t-shirt. It's always been my dream!
Love the shirt, love your sense of humor rolling with it all. :) Keem 'em coming.
Fun! do the women wear gowns? I love the Oscar bingo game too.
This is too cute! Love your blog. I am your newest follower

I really like this, but what is flocked material? Where could I find it except online?
Flocked means it's got a slightly fuzzy or velvety texture. You've probably seen flocked wallpaper or flocked greeting cards. But as for where to buy it in "real life," I'm not sure! Paper Source stores might be your best bet, if there's one near you.
