Quiz: What's your creative style?
If you're curious to know what your particular brand of creativity reveals about you, take this little quiz from Psychologies magazine.
I learned that for me, creativity is "a magical world in which you like to immerse yourself. When you’re involved in it, you get the wonderful sensation that there are no limits, that anything is possible." Ah, magical! That explains why I always try to sneak a unicorn or leprechaun into every brochure I design.

I think that's basically true but the rest of it went on to be quite dramatic and that bit isn't so accurate. I don't crochet because of some deep dark inner battle lol.

Denice, I think you DO crochet for that very reason. You have probably repressed a traumatic memory, and crocheting helps you cope. For sure.
A typical two-page spread from one of my brochures. I'm not kidding about the unicorns. Clients love it.
I just took the quiz & I "communicate through creativity". I think that is so true! As an artist (which I need to feature more on my blog!) I use common motifs to communicate a broader message. We all identify with certain specific images & its best to use what is known to better communicate.

Creativity gives me insight...or, so says that quiz :) I DO sometimes like to express how I feel (okay, a lot), but I also just like making pretty things sometimes. :) Thanks for the cute quiz!

I'm not normally one for taking such surveys as the questions sometimes seem to be quite obvious as to where they are leading. This one was much more subtle and the results for me are oh so true. Thank you for the link!

Usually those quiz questions can be so leading and it's easy to get the result you want, but I found this one a lot more subtle. Fun.

that is a pretty good descriptor of me I think...creativity is a release-- you are usually attracted to art that demands physicality, that allows you to express what’s inside, and that unites spontaneity, strength, freedom, power and movement.

That was fun! I got the same lead-in as others, that reativity is first and foremost a form of expression: it creates a special link between the internal and external worlds. I guess, but what really fit was this "you have to be strong enough not to let yourself get swept away by chaotic impulses". Spot on. As soon as I read about any creative projects, I start collecting the necessary equipment in my mind. I have many half-finished ones lying around the house... :-)
i got the business about creativity as a release. there was a lot of talk of feelings.
i have a plush toy business and just learned how to make glass beads. i feel they're awesome, but it pretty much ends there. hmmm.
