Shortbread button cookies
I'm a little late to the party on this one since the original post is from January, but I'm compelled to ooh and aah publicly. These are little shortbread button cookies. They're adorable, as is the printable recipe with lovely calligraphy and illustrations. Get it here from Forty-sixth at Grace.

I'm so glad you posted this, I was late to the party too! YUM.
They are so sweet and easy to make... glad that you post this one! :)
I love those, too. I loved them the first time I saw them, and I still love them now. And that calligraphy IS amazing.
I think they'd be adorable for a baby shower.

Thank you...this is such a beautiful blog! Full of inspiration....
Oh wow, I'm planning a baby shower in a few weeks, these will be perfect. Thanks for sharing!
I'm pretty sure Charlotte would echo what Courtney said.
Thanks for this cute idea!
360 grams of flour? What? (:
What a fun idea for cookies... tasty and cute!
I am a pretty good cook and can't wait to make these cookies for Saturday's sewathon. I am unable to translate grams to cups and teaspoons? Can anyone help me?
What a lovely presentation.
How did I not see those? All I do is blog (I mean work!) all day...
Makes me want to plan a party around those.
These are SO cute! Such a cute idea! Love!
So cute--I'm definitely bringing these to the baby shower I'm going to this weekend!
hi, they are darling. i found them last year on a friends blog and made them, the butter recipe is tops.xx
I made them once. They are pretty yummy.
Adorable! Thanks for sharing.
I love these! I am a baker and these would make amazing little cookies with ganache sandwiched in between. I am thinking green tea, lemon butter, and chocolate with matching ganache in between. OH MY! Thank you so much for this post!
These are just about the cutest things I've ever seen. I must make these with my little girl. :-)
Thought of you when I saw this post:

Those are just adorable, hopefully not too hard to make, might try this when my little nieces come and visit
I looked up the metric conversions and these are hopefully the answers but someone please correct me if I'm mistaken:
360 grams flour = 2 1/2 cups
18 grams cornstarch = 1 1/2 Tablespoons
300 grams butter = 1 1/4 cups, or 2 1/2 sticks
160 grams sugar = 1 1/2 cups
Is "icing sugar" the same as confectioners or powdered sugar? I'm thinking it is.
I love buttons and cookies, so this is absolutely lovely. And the recipe card is so rockin'!
Sooooo cute!! I will definitely be trying these. And I also wanted to say, your blog is amazing! You have given me so much inspiration with all the projects!! Thank you!
oh yes i made these!!! Mine weren't quite as perfect but I'm convinced her photo is before she bakes them and they rise... http://www.flickr.com/photos/87213197@N00/4339402411/in/set-72157622764458130/

Incredible. I want to make them right now. So much easier to make these than macaroons, which were all (and still are) the rage. Thanks for this!
