Markers + plastic bags = adorable
I stumbled on these little bags decorated by illustrator Babalisme and was so thoroughly charmed I had to share. Everyone! Go get a permanent marker and draw on your sandwich bags immediately. I plan to decorate my quart-sized baggie to impress fellow travelers in the security line at the airport. I think "Don't look in here" with a pretty border would be nice and attention-getting.
P.S. I'm taking a blogging break over Memorial Day weekend. Back Tuesday!

I am SO getting my Sharpies out right now!
LOVE them!!!! Very inspired to surprise my kids with some cool snack bags with messages on them :)
I bet Courtney would love to decorate her own! We could surprise her mommy. ;)
ah,wonderful.ı m going to try.thanks.
Awesome idea! Plus, it's a clear medium, so you could totally trace the pattern from something else!
What a fantastic idea! It would be so great to stumble upon one of these while rummaging for bags in an overflowing drawer :)
SO cute and inspiring!!! :)
best idea
A D O R A B L E! I've never seen anything more cuter than these bags :)
Just found your blog. I'm head over heels! LOVE your style, ideas, stuff!!! Excellent. :)
that is a cute idea! though I know I'm too lazy to do it!
What!? What's easier than drawing on a bag?!
How cute are those!! L-O-V-E them! My girls would love to do that to the baggies they use for their lunches.
love love love these!!!!!
I know!! Isn't it cute??
how awsome :D why did i never think of drawing on sandwich bags before???
:D Love this! Okay, I've got to drag out some of my vintage embroidery patterns, sandwich bags and Sharpies.
that would be a hilarious thing to write on the bag!!!! or, "if you can read this BACK OFF!"
Adorable! I am SO going to do this!
Make sure you secure the bag to a sturdy surface. I got lots of tugging... but the paisleys are still coming out purrrty! =)
fun!
How Fun!! what a cute thing to do with Kids!
Oh these are so super duper cute! Love! :)
Happy Memorial day weekend! :)
If I could draw worth a darn, i would make these for my kids' baby books (first haircut bags), but alas, it would look craptacular.
YOU, on the other hand, draw adorable things.
Don't look in here.....that's awesome. :) This makes me wonder though, would this be safe to do on tupperware??? That could be pretty cool :)

how cute! maybe having cute plastic bags will inspire more people to reuse them :)
Hi, my comment does not have to do with your post today, but as I visited this family's blog, my heart is so tight, in pain for this parents. So I decided to do something and leave this comment on all the blogs I read... I don't know if it will or not, but I wish I could do something. As a mom, I can't imagine being separated from my baby, please sign te petition... I'm so hertbroken for this family! Maybe if we spread the word in the blogsphere... maybe something good will happen soon. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/return-dominic-johansson-to
They're so beautiful! And a great and simple idea too.
Cute idea! I just received a craft tool I ordered from Japan and loved the way it was packaged in a ziplock bag that had been printed (commercially) with a beautiful pattern. I bet it's only a matter of time until we see them produced here. Ziploc will have a field day - pumpkins for Halloween, etc...
Really clever idea, must give it a go. Was wondering if anyone has come up with an idea for those little plastic coffee pods for the single serve coffee maker. I am becoming deluged with them and just can't get any ideas on how to use them....
You find the most fun things! We're leaving on holiday but I'll be doodling mad when I get back!
how cute! I just got hello kitty bags I was so proud of...until now!
What a great and adorable idea. I love the My first haircut bag. I must be attempting this, but should probably invest in some fine tip markers first.

My Mom used to do that. It used to embarrass me but now I think they're cute. Maybe I'll embarrass my own kids :D
Yaaay!
thank you so much for featuring my bags here!! Would you like some? I have tons at home by now.
I also love your idea of putting "witty" words on it! :D
Thank you so much!
It is fun to draw on different surfaces. When I am out to dinner at a restaurant with a linen tablecloth, I want to write on it. I love the fact that you can draw on the table at Macaroni Grill.
These are cute! This would be a great activity for me and my kids!
Super Pooper! Designer bags for traveling pet poop!
Great idea!!!
Just loved!
I wonder if i am able to do it myself!!!
Adorable! Now if only I could draw...
Haha, cute! Why not doodle on plastic bags?!
google reader recommended your blog to me!
Glad it did!
pure cuteness!!
What a great way to turn the mundane into muntastic.
So cute, and since the bags are clear you could even trace something! Thanks for sharing.
Jess - Every time I read your blog, it makes me happy. I love it! Also, I changed my biz identity and decided to use orange..thought you'd like to know! ;-)
These are cute, but marker will scratch off the plastic bags. I know! I once labeled all my mini baggies with their contents (screws, yoga ball...) and threw them in my junk drawer. Pulled one out a few months later and it didn't look so good anymore!
A** thank you for sharing this. :)
Right after reading this post I pulled out a baggie and some sharpies and went to it! I'm officially addicted! Thanks for sharing - I needed another craft project *wink*wink*
Keep the great ideas coming!
those are so cute I'd want to clean them out and reuse... adorable!
I think these are amazing. I hope I can be as creative when my kiddo hits kindergarten!
I added a link to this post on my blog today, have a great weekend!

Whenever I visit your blog I find such a lot of great ideas and hints!!! It is really generous of you to share them with us - thanks a lot for it....
greetings from Berlin

Really sweet. And I love your idea of decorating the plastic security baggies! A little sense of humour goes a long way!
OMG! cuteeeeey. nice idea!!
So cute! So cute that I went out and bought a set of ultra fine point sharpies, but only one out of the 5 colors is dark enough to work with. I guess it doesn't matter that much anyway since I can't draw worth a dime.
