Giveaway: Sears gift cards | How About Orange

December 02, 2009

Giveaway: Sears gift cards

Sitting on my desk is a $200 gift card from Sears, and here's my dilemma: should I spend it on myself or on Christmas presents for other people? Look at all the cool goodies $200 would buy you from the Sears website. (If your name is Jess and you like orange things and modern patterns, that is.) That doormat is calling my name. However, my mom is a huge Lands End fan and might never let me hear the end of it if I don't get her some socks, at least. While I ponder this moral dilemma, there's good news for you, too.

To help you with your holiday shopping, Sears is giving away two $50 gift cards to How About Orange readers. The cards can be used in stores and online at Sears, Kmart, and Lands End, so you have tons of options.

To enter the drawing, leave a comment on this post with a way of contacting you, plus one thing you'd like to buy with your gift card. (I need Christmas gift suggestions, so I plan to read through here and steal all your ideas.) The giveaway ends next Wednesday (12/9/09) at midnight CST. Two winners will be selected by a random number generator, announced in this post, and contacted.

Update: Giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the winning commenters #165— Jessie, and #636—Lynnetta. Happy shopping!

Oh gosh, my husband and I might have to thumb wrestle for it. I'd use it for clothes for the kids, he'd use it for tools. However, if the tools were to help do somethings around the house, I might consider it.

Well, I went to Sears' website, figuring I'd end up in the kitchen section. But then I saw books, and then home design books, and I never made it out. Right now Thrifty Chic is at the top of my list. Thanks for the giveaway, and good luck with your giftcard dilemma. If you need help spending it, I'd be happy to help. :)

Well, since ALL of my jeans have holes in the knees (I do home daycare and am on the floor a lot!) I would love to get these organic jeans:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_043M0135000P

The remaining amount would go to my bff's baby, Sears has some really cute organic hemp baby wipes!

Thanks for the offer!

I would buy a cute little hat and scarf to wear myself while waiting to pick up the kiddos at school (and it's so cold and windy standing there), a polar fleece each for the two girls, a polar fleece jacket each for my son and the hubby. Of course, I will need more money to purchase all that from Land's End, but it would be worth it, they have great stuff.

I would buy Christmas eve pj's for my kids, OR, my 8yo dd wants Uggs for Christmas. If I could find something similar, I'd get those. I can't justify $100.00+ boots for a child that age.

Thanks. Love this blog!

My husband and I used to make a nice waffle breakfast with fruit every saturday morning together as our treat for the week, but our waffle iron broke a month ago and we just don't have the extra cash to buy a new one. So I would get this waffle iron that makes heart shaped waffles for us and our happy Saturdays!
