V&A Pattern series
I'm enjoying a review copy of the V&A Pattern Set, a beautiful little series of picture books with patterns from different eras and artists: William Morris, Indian Florals, Digital Pioneers, and The Fifties, all from The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The best part: each book comes with a CD of all the images. The digital files are about 6" x 8" at 300 dpi. (Images are for personal use and enjoyment only; commercial applications must be approved by V&A Images.) The books are available as a set or individually. Guess which one is my favorite volume.

I give up... which one is your favorite? If those pics are a clue, I still have no clue. :-)
I wish somebody'd send ME something nice to review!
Oh, I think this would be design overload!
How lovely!
I guess orange! (Is there orange?)
ooh, what a cool book - this would make a great gift for my designer hubby :-)
When I lived in England, I LOVED visiting the V&A, if not just for their fantastic gift shop. Thanks for sharing.
My guess - digital pioneers?
Newp. Fifties. Love it.
I love all the new trendy patterns.
Blessings, andrea
PS: I have an urgent prayer request on arise 2 write.
Here are two similar goodies I just discovered. LOVE!
far right i suggest. loving pattern collections.i went to liberty a month or so ago to see 'prints charming'. the building had been papered in liberty lawn flowery print. super. the v & a is so great... my mum visits from australia soon and bizarrely it usually takes an overseas visitor to get me going again!
oops, didn't even read properly... i meant the fifties one (it is pictured on the far right!) make sense??
just had a super delivery from your sponsor - fabricworm. great value for money, well worth your overseas readers ordering!
Fifties, yes indeed. And that's great to hear your review of Fabric Worm!
I have this set too, and yes, I do love it, but...
I am a bit disappointed with the images on the CD. For the William Morris ones, for instance, they don't always include a whole pattern repeat, so if you are trying to use them to create a wallpaper effect it's hopeless. I was expecting a bit more thought to have been given to them.
my boyfriend just bought me a gorgeous cakestand from the V&A 'patterns' series. I wonder which era inspired it.
Love it. V&A patterns are my favorites - thanks for sharing.
ooh they look great! ... hmmm is there an orange lot? :)
oh my goodness! This would be wonderful...
Mid Century!!! I love it too. Where'd you get this set? I want one too!
Wow what great books. Thanks for charing
Since I won't be able to make it overseas in the near future, I'm very happy to find this resource! Thank you for posting
