Quiz: Whaddya know about art?

Test your art history knowledge with this little quiz. It will help you kill about one minute while you're waiting for the weekend to start. (If you need to kill more time than that, see other posts in the time-wasters category. Maybe you could waste up to an hour, even. Good luck.)

To answer your question: apparently not as much as the average person- rated just under average. I am completely hopeless when it comes to names/dates/periods- in essence, history.

Oh well. It doesn't seem to stop you from making beautiful things!

And nice job, Mom. That's more right than I would have thought. HA HA HA!

I have no idea how I managed a 14 out of 18!

Hey, you'd better be nice to me or I won't be your Sewer anymore!

Okay, okay. Sorry. :)

10 right, 50%.

Thanks for the quiz, Jessica. I used to teach children's art classes using art prints from famous artists and then doing a project in the artist's style. Hopefully, I haven't forgotten everything. :)

I'm an art historian, so I got a 95% (19/20). Going back I can't figure out which one I missed and it's driving me crazy! Glad to know that even though college is over I've still got it all in my head.

Haha, I'm an art historian and only got 70% right. But then again, I don't study European and much Western art.

maeve, Thanks for the answers!

I got 65% and about 12 years ago I got a degree in Art History. I thought I had retained a lot - guess I need to do a refresher course.

18 right! I was pretty excited with my score... I took two semesters of Art History, but that was 10 years ago... glad I remembered something. Thanks for the diversion.

15 right = 75% ... that's me being relieved I did so well.

I liked taking the quiz but it won't show me the answers to find out what went wrong. No payoff!

Wow, I was pretty surprised with 95% right!!! Wasted time but feeling pretty good afterwards! :P

yawningdog said...

I hit 75%, pretty good considering I haven't step foot into an art museum in ages.

I would like to see the answers.

Barb Mowery said...

I got 17 right (85%). Being a security guard at that museum really did pay off... :)

Wow. This is a really impressive blog! My mother and I both enjoy art, time wasters, free downloading, FAQ,and reading online. This blog is perfect!I was wondering if I could follow it. Ya know, if you have a favorite blog and want to let the author and readers know that you are a fan? Well I was wondering if I could do that with the Blogger Following feature! You can even keep track of the blogs you follow via your Reading List on the Blogger dashboard. There are several ways to become a follower of a blog. One of the easiest ways is to visit a blog that has added the Following widget and click on the "Follow" button under the "Followers" widget. Is that okay with you? I sure hope so. have a nice day!

I love this! I got 55% - not bad considering I never studied Art History :-) But am surprised that the average is around 70% right. Looks like I brought down the average a little bit :-) I love this 'Time-Wasters' concept :-) Planning to try all of them!

Larissa Holland said...

85%. I guess I didn't sleep through as many of my art history classes as I thought.

I got a 60%!! Woo-hoo, since I took only one art class in college like 10 years ago!

Jennifer said...

95% (19 questions) correct! Woo-hoo!

I guess it would have been bad if I didn't do this well, having been an art major in college and grad school ;)
