Gifts to make: packaging

If you're going to make a handmade present, you may as well get creative on the packaging, too. Some fun ideas:

Gift card box by Heather Bailey
Monogram gift tags at Martha Stewart (pictured above)
Origami box at U-Handbag (and if you don't have any patterned paper you like, browse here and print some yourself)
Plastic grocery bag pom poms at Creature Comforts
How to make various bows from the Container Store

*sigh* If only I had time to make those neat things. Don't expect your gifts to be wrapped very prettily, Boss! ;-)

Love the monogram gift tag idea, too. Tags are always one of those things that I struggle with!

I love all these ideas! I can't wait to make monogram tags. I made Creature Comforts plastic bag bows out of all my old saved plastic bags - they look great!

My favorite is Martha's gift tags. This will be my way to "monogram" my tags this year.

What fun ideas! Thank you. I love initials on the boxes. Last year my sister in law made tags by cutting out decorative paper and sticking a nicely cute out picture of the recipient in the middle of them. I think I'll do a combo of the initials and the picture tags this year.

I LOVE THIS IDEA! I'm using plain, bright colored wrapping paper for Christmas gifts this year (Ikea - clearance) and this will look wonderful with it!
