The case of the missing blogger
Guys, I'm frazzled. I had gotten into the groove of putting something up here every day, but not so this week. What with the trip last week, work at the studio where I freelance, overnight guests, the national women's conference hosted by our church that I'm trying to attend as much as I can, and freelance jobs I'm working on between conference sessions, I'm going a little crazy. Also, have you noticed I haven't done any sort of crafty project for a long while? No time, which is a bummer, since it promotes my mental health. I need a vacation. Oh, wait. I just took one.

No crafty posts from you. That was what i was wondering and commented in your last post. Waiting for one from you.
I have a doubt. What can we apply to protect the canvas painting. I have done using acrylic paints and left it unframed. Suggestions please

blow off your blog -- we'll be patient!
Totally feel your pain. And I've been jonesin' to be crafty lately. I'm getting some of that out of my system by making the programs for my friend's wedding. But I'd still rather be redecorating the bathroom. Have a good (lazy, if possible) weekend.
Give your self a break! we'll still be here when you post again.. The conference looks so cool too. I didn't know you were a christian. It's so fun to know not only are you one of the most creative blogs i read but you follow & love Jesus too. That just makes me giddy!
Hey! I have friends at that conference. =) I even had one of them bunking at my place between Wed. night and Th. morning. I hope it's going well from your end. I know that conferences are a LOT of work to run and help with.
When you get "back" I need some new time wasters please, as well as something crafty, I am also frazzled. My brain needs to play and forget my lists upon lists of stuff to do. When will it ever end?
i always feel like i need a vacation after i get back from vacation. i know how you feel. :-/
If you need a vacation, take one! We'll still be here when you get back into the swing of things.
I often feel more than a little overwhelmed at all the projects and tasks on my to do list. While I empathize with you, I'm glad to know that even someone as incredibly productive and creative as you gets a little overwhelmed every once in a while too! Good luck recuperating.
I feel the same way. Sometimes, you just can't do it all...but when you come back it will be better than ever!
Jess,
It is okay to say you need a vacation. What you did was travel. Vacation involves sitting on the deck of a beach house with a book and good blanket. So, it will be fine! We will just wait for you when you post again!
Thankfully when you post it comes up in google reader so worry less about readers and take some time to relax, we all go through it! As for the lack of craftiness, have you thought about a small portable sketchbook or sewing project? You can at least get a few stitches in!
I just checked your link for the women's conference, and noticed that one of its speakers is Julia Pickerill. How fun because I attend her church, Vineyard Church of Columbus and my husband is close friends with her husband Eric. She is truly blessed to teach. Hope you can catch her.
I always say "I need a vacation from my vacation." Honestly, who has a restful vacation?! I want to meet this person and learn their secrets...
Well, I sent something which should satisfy your crafty desire!
you don't have to be perfect all the time.

and try a small instant gratification project for your mental health.(no blogging required. leave the camera in the bag.) New coasters for your desk? those could be knit, crochet, old cds, resin, cork....? just decopauge some you already have...
Buck up little bronco, I need you!
I don't mean to contribute to your stress level! (Though I must say those last designs for an "unknown project" were pretty cool!) Catch up on what you've got going on- I can wait (for awhile, anyway). ;)
Hi! Thanks for linking to my blog! I like orange too :-) And your blog is great, by the way...
I would like to point out that I was emphatically NOT one of these overnight guests that have so wearied Our Good Host.
Yet.
*laughs darkly*
no worries...i take breaks for months :)
Take it easy!!!
Your blog is so good that I can reread all your older posts and it's just as entertaining and inspiring as if I was reading them for the first time!
Good things come to those who wait!
I see a lot of the non-blogging posts around lately, but you know it doesn't matter in cyberspace where time is not always of the essence. When the guilt starts to creep in, that's not a good sign. It's OK to not do everything week in, week out - we have to remember why we get into blogging in the first place: for pleasure! Take a step away, don't think about it, come back when you have more time to enjoy it ... and everyone will still be here.
My first time to your site. My mother in law loves you and has you linked on her blog...
Your Italy post was delightful and I, too, LOVE the macro/super macro settings on my camera! :-)
Happy Designing!
Hi! I don't know you, but I found your site somehow...and I've been reading for an hour now!! You are very creative and I love it! Thanks for sharing :)
I know what that's like -- posting every day is a challenge! I try with GDBar but sometimes I cheat... life gets in the way, alas. Hang in there. :)
Lady, I am so happy to hear that sometimes even a SuperCrafter like yourself can't fit it all in. I read your blog religiously and am always wondering how you manage to make so many cute things (and redecorate your extra room). It's okay to be human! Hey, I'd love to send you one of my books (The Prairie Girl's Guide to Life; I think you'd dig it. Holla back when you come up for air. jen@jenniferworick.com
Ugh. Isn't that always the way -- you go on vacation only to come back feeling like you need a week in bed.
Of course, I just spent a week on the couch with a nasty virus and I still feel like I need a break. I guess it's always something.
Here's to some respite, and to something crafty, soon. For both of us.
My husband and I are begininng to think about/plan our European vacation and I would like to add Italy to the list of places to visit. I would love it if you would post what sights you saw and things you did to give us some ideas!
Oh I know exactly how you feel! Busy, busy and no time for the things that recharge = that's me at the moment. ;)
I think we all lose our blogging mojo every once in a while! We'll be patiently awaiting your return! -Marichelle
Aloha, I am nobody you know but I think your blog is absolutely fantastic :) I have been reading your blog for a while now and all your topics are all so interesting. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
It is so hard when you don't get crafty time. I hope you find some time soon. I'm trying to find more time myself. We can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Enjoy the day dear! No pressure from us, your favorite readers...we will wait for your inspiration. Praying peace for you!
Here is a gift for ya:

Pssssssssst! Don't tell Jess I did this... she'll probably kill me for all the extra email she'll get from your comments. But I just wanted to remind you that she's an April Fool baby! And I'm not foolin'! :-)
Mum knows!
Hey, no pressure, I just want to let you know that you are missed. I enjoy your insights!
Please come back. Your blog always makes my day. :0)
I find whenever I go to Europe, I come home more tired than when I left. So I usually find I need a vacation from my vacation. I love Europe but it can be..draining!
