The most wonderful baby bed ever

HAO reader Nancy sent me a link to this retro bassinet that's for sale. I love it, but have no use for it. Someone else should snatch it up. Hurry!

Update: It's been snatched.

I love how they show a baby in the bassinet in the last picture. As if, possibly, we weren't sure of the proper usage for this item.

I wish I needed this. I LOVE it.

Oh, my! At first look I thought it was a coffin. Sorry, that is so grim, but I don't think I would want it in orange or any other color. It's a good thing we all have different likes and dislikes, or this old world would be pretty boring... lol

That's hilarious. I didn't even think of it. But now that you mention it.... I would like to be buried in a coffin just like this. :)

i thought it looked like a little orange coffin--hey--that would be a GREAT halloween decoration. Put a whole bunch of vampire dolls in it.

I have something like this, and I love it! Mine is a more sedate navy blue. I think this is the top of a pram--like mine, there are big, skinny wheels that attach with a base. Mine was a pram for when I was a babe and a mobile bassinette for my own kids.

Mercy, that is gorgeous! Seriously, why doesn't somebody still make baby stuff like this? It's awesome!

It's the top of a pram! I had one just like it when I was a baby - in navy blue. I have vivid memories of it because I inherited it for my dolls later on!

I thought it was a coffin too. But a damn cool coffin!

I also played with a navy blue pram when I was a kid. Me and my sister would put all our dolls in it. This orange one is very cool, though.

I like alison's suggestion, haha. I had one of those prams, too. are we all old?
there's got to be a use for it if you have space for it. what about a place for extra blankets? magazine and catalog catcher? oooh dog or cat bed?

Great suggestions, Elizabeth. But it would go perfectly in the new nursery we are planning - orange, yellow and grey...

I agree...looks a bit like a coffin but very ORANGE!

what about yarn...or magazines...or a pet bed...it doesn't have to be for a baby.

Oooh maybe you'll have a use for it some day??? Just buy it!!

Lol - it's so cute, but it keeps on reminding me of a cooler! We have a couple retro metal-sided coolers in red that look soo much like this . . .

Hey! That's my bassinet I'm selling! I found a buyer and she's adorable. I can't wait to see what she does with the babies room!

This is adorable! I will definitely use something like this when I have a baby... maybe in a less... vibrant color though.

Jourdan, your bassinet has been a hot topic of conversation. :) I'm glad it's going to a good home!

Hey, I'm pregnant! And I'm seriously thinking of doing an orange baby's room. However, sounds like someone's buying it. :(

This is the bedding set I'm thinking of, BTW:

Well, I am glad that I sent you the link. It sure has been a hot topic. I think it is strange that the sellers checks out this blog too. What are the chances of that?

How much did it go for? Just curious!

Too bad my daughter is 2. I'd have loved this when she was born and I probably would've spent any amount to have it. Love it, love it, love it!
