Make a font from your handwriting

For $9, you can have a font made from your own handwriting. I'm not going to do this, since why would I want to read something in my own bad handwriting when I could use a beautifully-designed font from somebody else? But there might be a cool reason to do it that I haven't thought of. Try it here, at Fontifier.

I kind of like this idea...I could pretend I actually hand wrote a note...hmmmm....

That's a neat tool. Thanks.

Well, presumably you don't actually have to use your handwriting. You can fill in the template with anything you like - images, calligraphy, non-Roman alphabets etc. So you could use it to make any new font you want.

How about to capture the early handwriting of a child? I love my daughter's handwriting with the Es with ten arms and the lowercase As with really long tails.

maybe for personal journaling...

one that would be left to read by your sweet children who could recognize mom's handwriting.

I tried this awhile ago when it was free, and I realized I didn't want something in my own bad hand writing when I have access to some many pretty fonts!
I can't believe that they are charging $9 now. Oh well. I'm sure it would be cool for some things -- but not with my yucky handwriting!

This is a great blog! I printed out those cards from the stem "template" very fun! Thanks for the interesting info. I just started digital scrapbooking and it would be fun to journal in your own handwriting.

If someone is still in school and has a mean teacher whip makes them write it out again if its not neat, this could work... :)
