When black binder clips simply won't do

I just spent $2 of my Christmas money on a pack of trendy faux bois binder clips from Staples. They also have a fetching black and white pattern in a larger size.

I know. Who'd have thought "Staples" and "trendy" would appear in the same sentence? Seriously, why are all the office stores in this country so dull? Office Max, Office Depot, Staples... They're like the PC in the Mac commercials. See Jane Work is the Mac. Please, SJW, open brick-and-mortar stores all over the country. Hurry!

Goodbye savings.

I saw those (and others) and put them on my Santa list, but he didn't listen. I my just have to go get some for myself.

Goodness gracious, that is quite a surprise! I can't wait to go spend a two-spot on them.

Couldn't agree more about Jane! I'm a huge fan of anything that has an everyday practical purpose that is made pretty.

I'm in the UK so I can't get those lovely clips. Boo!

I thought I should mention that I have just ordered two bottles of absolutely wonderful J Herbin ink (in Vert Réséda and rose-scented Rouge Opéra). You can get them in the USA too. Check out their website http://www.jherbin.com/fountain_pen_inks.shtml (I am not affiliated with them, btw).

Hmm... the link is broken. Go to the main URL and click on Fountain pen inks. :-)

I know I would be spending, if they made something pretty in office supplies.

Hey, my first spam comment has appeared! I've hit the big time!

Bela, thanks for the link. It worked for me. That stuff looks pretty interesting.

You're welcome, Jess. You're always pointing us in the direction of gorgeous things; I thought I'd return the favour - in a modest way. :-)

Information for Bela. You may be able to get the wood pattern clips in UK branches of Staples. They certainly have the black and white designer clips - I bought some to give as a Christmas gift.

Thank you very much. I will certainly check it out. :-)

those are great! thanks for the link!

I also just found some cute ones at Michael's - in the dollar section! 4 for a buck!
I picked ones that were yellow with a blue floral design. They look very scandinavian to me. Kinda cute, especially for the price!!!

Tell me about it. All I can afford there is a pad of post-its.

This is a shameless self plug, but I make pretty binder clips in my Etsy shop (http://thepurplepear.etsy.com). Check them out! They're much cheaper than the ones at SJW. :) And... ok I'm a little partial here... but much cuter too! :)
