Wow! I went over there and read the post...you're right...this could be the start of a revolution.
Love the food in jar idea...printed some out and will be making them with my daughter tonight. Attaching a gift card to Blockbuster to each one and saying "Merry Christmas: done and wrapped with a box
I am stopping by the Container Store on the way home and making cakes in jars tonight! (Granted it will be store bought cake mix, but I'll make sure the labels are cute and make up for that fact.)
Happy baking!
This is a wonderful idea, I have been looking for something for the neighbors. Thanks a million!
I love cakes in a jar and did these too in November, they were supposed to be "Mitbringsel" (= giveaways) in the advent-time, but not a single one survived, because they were so delicious ...
I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
what a great idea and its a gift you can give anytime of the year. thanks for the links!
Hurrah! Excellent recipe links as always, Mrs. J.! Have a safe and wonderful Christmas and New Year's!
i gave these out for yule last year. the only problem being that i did not have preparation instructions with it, and when people asked how to make the cocoa, i had to suggest 'uhhhhh.. in a pot?'
Brilliant! I wish I had made some of these.
I have to highly recommend the cranberry hootycreeks recipe on allrecipes. i tried it and it was very good! No wonder it has 5 stars! I also had a hard time finding nice, cheap jars...but I finally found them at Ikea so if anyone else is looking for some! :)
This is such an ingenious idea!
Oh! I made the "Classic Cocoa" for a friend from the Sunset Magazine recipes. Love it!
