Felt gingerbread ornaments
Friday's Chicago Craft Social was lots of fun. The theme was handmade gifts and holiday decorations, like these felt gingerbread ornaments. I made this half-eaten gingerbread man using Elsie Marley's free pattern, available here. These tiny houses are based on Betz White's design in the e-book Crafty Tree Trimmings: Six Festive Holiday Ornaments to Make, for sale right here.

Gee, I saw that gingerbread man somewhere before and thought he was sooo cute! The houses are really cute, too. Sure wish I could've been there making fun stuff, too!
I saw those gingerbread ornaments at a different craft fair this weekend in OC . . . I wonder if someone copied someone . . . or similar ideas. Kinda funny
Well, both of those templates are available to the public online, so it makes sense. Though I don't know if their creators allow people to make the things and then sell them at craft fairs. You'd have to look for usage guidelines on the templates.
i made that half eaten gingerbread boy ornament for our christmas tree last year and it was a hit!
The gingerman it too cute! Classic touch!
They are so sweet!

One look at him and "Not my gum drop buttons" popped out of my mouth.
...everyone at work is looking at me now...
Those ornaments are pretty cool especially those houses. I would love to make some ornaments as cute as that. Wish me luck :)

Hahaha LOVE the half eaten gingerman... Thinking someone needs to get it for Christmas this year!
The craft social was so fun! I made the gingerbread house ornament. It was the only thing I got around to doing because it surprisingly takes quite a bit of time. Worth it, though. I can't wait for the next social!
LOVE the gingerbread man!
I love the gingerbread man. This post brings back memories of sitting at the kitchen table with my mother making our own ornaments.
I love your gingerbread man! That would be prefect to go along with a reading of the story! My kidlets will love it.
