Goodwill desk transformed

Caroline Amusement Park-ized this thrift store desk! See her blog post for the before and after shots plus more about Quilt Market, where this guy will be on display.

And she even wrote us a tutorial on how to make those fabric covered knobs. Click here to learn how to make your own.

  4. Wow, that's wonderful. It takes a lot of imagination to see something that fresh in a desk that used to look so ordinary.

  7. Oh the possibilities! I just have a boring fake wood and metal desk in my classroom. Wish I could talk the principal into letting me do that :)

  11. That desk looks awesome. I have always wanted to do something like that, but I don't really have room for a desk.

  20. *sigh* it's wonderful. Dh has promised to build an outhouse for me to move my things into (it'll have to double up as a 'school room' and I'm so looking forward to all the decorating, I'll have much more freedom to do so in there than in the main house and this sort of thing is really inspirational :0)

  21. Yeah, I often wish I had a second apartment I could decorate all crazy, so I wouldn't have to live in it, but I could visit it for fun. Have a good time in your outhouse.
