Nice things to make by hand

Here's a round up of DIY tutorials for handmade things, because looking at them is almost as satisfying as making them. If you can sew, that is. Non-crafty types might find "just looking" plenty satisfying, as attempting to reproduce them might cause hair loss and cursing. Been there. Done that.

Crocheted flowers by The Adventures of Bluegirlxo
Appliqued pillow at Fiskars
Retro apron at Sew4Home
Tea wallet by Handmade Therapy
Gathered potholder by Prudent Baby
Zipper brooches at Craft Stylish

You shouldn't curse, y'know. But you can afford to lose a little hair. ;)

Darn! Shoot! Crap! Crud! I think most of my cursing is fit to print. A very quietly whispered sh** might sneak in there once in awhile, but only if no one is around. Don't tell.

Oh, dang! I knew I'd failed you!

Thanks so much!! Crocheted flowers are so much fun to make.

I'm thinking I may need to keep that wallet tutorial for when I finally get a sewing machine. I do not sew very straight by hand!

I think I'm in the "just looking" category at the moment. But it's good to look because later, the inspiration may turn into action! :)

I made that apron last year. It's cute!

GG, you would be proud of my kids! They cuss like I do which is much like a drunken sailor! ;)

That's not something I'd be proud of. I'll assume they have some better qualities than that to take pride in. ;)

I'm heading on over to check out the zipper flower! Those are really cool...but most of the tutorials make them look alot easier than I actually find them to be!!

Those are all amazing. I think I could handle the tea wallet, which is adorable! If only I were able to do that pillow, though. That is really awesome.

That pillow looks to me very much like a rip-off of this tutorial: http://www.ryanwalshquilts.com/2011/02/kjr-pillow-and-dresden-wedges-tutorial.html
