Child's soft chair pattern
My mom's latest sewing project with my canvas fabric was this child's soft chair. It's made with Etsy seller Abbiesolutely's pattern; thank you, Abbie! The chair has a carrying handle and a pocket in the back for books. This pattern is definitely not for the beginning sewer, and the cost of the foam and supplies—using discount coupons on everything—was $81, excluding the cost of the pattern or the fabric. While not a project for the faint of heart, the result is really cute! A video of my niece Courtney testing her new chair's durability is at Mum's blog.

SO adorable! I'm getting the pattern and sending to my mom, pronto! Ha! :)
Insanely adorable!! VERY tempting, indeed...
Does this come in adult size?
I love it!
What a perfect little model for this fun and cheery chair!
Good luck to Nobody's Girl's mom! ;)
No, not in adult size. :)
It turned out fabulous!

This is too cute... :)
I'm just not ready for such a big project, so my greatest admiration goes to your brave mom! :)
Yeah, my admiration goes to her, too. I could never pull that project off in a million years.
It's fabulous! So bright and cheery!
I priced those chairs for my niece. It's a bargain at $81 in materials. I saw chairs that weren't as cute that cost much more.
Super cute. I love the fabric.
LOVE this! Just wish it wasn't so expensive to make!
That is a cute chair...the fabric was a good choice...love the pattern mixing. Nice work!
nice...really cute..
Wow! Great job! I'm in awe.
And I love the pattern. Really cute without being childish
That's incredible! I'd love to get one for my daughter...when she exists.
I actually have a child recliner back at mom's that I got back in high school or so. Ten years later, I still fit into it!
By the way, I gave you a sweet little award on my blog. Check it out when you get a chance :)
The cost of the foam is why I gave up and made bean bags out of my fabric instead. WAY cute, though!
Love this project. Your Mom did a superb job adn it's obvious that Courtney loves her new chair.
When ya think about it $81-100 isn't really bad when you can make a custom chair that could last from toddler day to the teen years and later be a dog or cat bed as well as serving the grand kids later.
Oh I just love the chair. This would look great with some IKEA fabric as well.
Oh, how ADORABLE is that fabric?! Love.
Abbie is my friend!
How nice to see her chair on your site! She is as sweet as the chairs. I'm getting ready to make one for my niece.
Super excited to do this project and I absolutely LOVE your rendition!
You know, I bookmarked that pattern to try later, and now I think I'll hold off. While it might be a bargain compared to PB or wherever, that's still WAY too much for me to spend on supplies to make a lounger for my kids at the moment.
you can get this at pottery barn kids. My daughter has one and its about the same price if not cheaper when on sale.
Great stuff - thanks for the pattern.
Hi, how do I get the pattern?
Looks like Etsy might be down right now... try again a little later: click the Abbiesolutely link in the post and see if she is still selling the pattern in her shop.
