Origami heart bookmarks

Here are some little folded heart bookmarks you can whip up in minutes. I used instructions from Origami Club. Click here, then look for the "Useful Origami" section. (Not "Easy" or "Fun." No. Those categories are for other things.) Once in the "Useful" section, scroll down to "Bookmark of Heart." I have to admit that on my way there I got distracted by "A Cake case with shirt." What? Anyhow, happy folding.

This site needs better English translation. That shirt one can be "Shirt Shaped Candy Case." I can see this is translated by Japanese people.

Thanks for this page, though. School is busy before our annual event Show Time, and we decorate our auditorium with heart baloons. Still wondering what to exchange each other for Valentine, so I'm going to tell my teachers about this site.

You are wonderful! Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. We'll have to give it a try tomorrow. Have a great Valentine's Day.

Hi there -- Just a note to say I laughed out loud at your sentence about being distracted; I'm afraid to even click the link for that very reason! And with kooky translated names and interesting models beckoning me, how would I not end up browsing for hours?!? And then folding for hours more?!?

P.S. I love to hate the posts in your time-wasters category. Or hate to love...

God damn! I can't get past step 9, what on earth are you supposed to do there? Have to check the animation probably. Nothing like origami to make your brain stretch!

Yeah, that one had me stymied for awhile, too! (Actually I didn't look up to see which is step 9, but I bet I know exactly which one you're talking about.)

June 2009: My daughter and I made heart bookmarks today for her to give as part of a gift to her first grade teacher. We loved the heart so much that we made hearts on both ends of the bookmarks! Too cute. Thanks so much! Love your blog by the way...
