Hey Jess, you know I thought I didn't like bread pudding until I tried some you brought over ages ago (good stuff!) Now I'm all set to try the chocolate version. Yum!
would like to try this but what do you exactly mean by "french bread"?? in Spain this can have several readings. thanks!
Hi Ruthie. That's what the recipe says, but I think I used something that wasn't French bread. To me, French bread=long, skinny baguette with hard outer crust and a soft, chewy inside. But I bought a loaf that was shaped like a big oval, and the outside wasn't as hard and crusty. I don't think it will matter what kind of white bread you use, because it just gets chopped into pieces and soaks up all the egg mixture, becoming completely soggy. Hope that helps!
Happy new year Jess! Oh yeah a baguette is perfect!! thanks! I'll try this recipe :-)
