What to do with these?

In honor of my wonderful grandma, who turns 85 today, I post this. These little scraps are about 0.0002% of her fabric stash, which I raided last time I went home. Here's a sampling. I love each and every tiny piece, and try to imagine where the rest of the bolt went and who wore it back in 1969. I'm trying to think of more ways to use these lovely little pieces. Any ideas? Check out this calendar at Craft Log.

Let the fabric speak to you. Maybe it will tell you what it wants to be.

please give us pictures of what you came up with.. can't wait to see it. or send some my way if you've had them for months and they still dont' say anything :)

Hi JJ...
Got your post on my blog so I am paying a visit to yours. It's great-nice work! I enjoyed looking through it. We definitely seem to share the same passion for artsy/crafty things. Can't get enough of it! Talk to you Monday.

I saw a pic on a blog the other day that had fabrics hung on the wall in embroidery hoops. There was all kinds of sizes of hoops all hung together with different fabric in each...little hoops hung together with all these fabrics might work out great!

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I should have added that these few are the BIG pieces. These are maybe 6" across at the longest point. And with chunks cut out of them, in many cases. Most are 2" or 3" square. Very tiny! Adding to the challenge!

Make potholders or place mats with them.
