I'm addicted to buying lamps

Look what I found at an antique mall. These blue vintage pottery lamps jumped up and down and shouted "Pick me! Pick me!" as I walked past. I took them home where they became fast friends with the Abigail Loveseat. You can see they are destined to be together.

  2. They ARE made for each other. I always have a hard time picking out new lampshades though.

  6. Beautiful lamps! How cool would they look if you found shades that had both that blue AND orange in them?! Happy decorating!

  7. How do you like the loveseat? Is it comfortable?

  8. I love it. The cushions are pretty firm, and maybe some people would want it squishier, but I'm totally satisfied. The color is really pretty and the fabric is soft and velvety.

The only thing I noticed before I bought it is that the sofa would look way better (at least in my house) with dark legs instead of the light finish it comes with. Confirmed, now that I see it in the parlor. I'm going to stain the legs dark brown.

  12. No worries! That's a good addiction! I have the same. About 30 lamp bases are waiting for me to start my reclaiming prokjects with them at the moment... ;) Those vintage blue ones are absolutely amazing. You definitely couldn't leave them abandonned! Great find! ;)
