Walls with DIY metallic patterns

Metallic accents on walls are a cool way to make plain surfaces more interesting. There are lots of methods for adding shine inexpensively— here are some DIY examples for inspiration. I might need to give these a whirl someday!

  1. I love the idea of using contact paper, especially since I live in an apartment! I'll have to think about doing something like this when we move next!

  2. Thanks for the different posts. I have some metallic paint I got (for free) that I would love to use, especially in my entry area. The problem is the walls in my house are orange peel so just don't know if it would work and still have a sharp line. I will do some more digging around on your handy links.

  13. I have a powder room waiting for me to get it all prettied up and I want to use metallics in there, you know that sofisticated 5star-hotel lobby restroom feel... You have put together a fabulous offering of ideas, thank you so much, Alexandra
