Printable 2013 Oscar ballot and bingo game

2013 Oscar bingo
The Oscars are on February 24th. Whether you're hosting an Academy Awards party or planning to lounge on the couch in your PJs, it's fun to mark predictions on a ballot and try your luck at Oscar bingo.

Folks at your party will be counting the number of winners on stage, hoping the presenters will botch their lines, and cheering for the orchestra when it cuts off a speech. Movie theater gift cards, boxes of popcorn, or little Oscar statuettes from a party store make good prizes.

A bingo refresher: The first person to mark off five squares in a line wins. It could be a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, and the center square counts as a freebie.

There are 20 different game cards in the downloadable file. Save the PDF to your computer, open it in Adobe Reader, and print the number of pages you need at 100% size. (Then select the best sheet for yourself, of course.)

Like every year, my standard disclaimer applies. It might be possible to get a bingo ten minutes into the telecast, or maybe your group won't have a winner at all because my psychic powers have failed this time.
Good luck!

  6. Mum, regarding my psychic powers, it's always so disappointing when no one trips. I've been wrong so many times before. :)

  16. These are the best bingo cards ever. I had come across bingo cards for the red carpet, but it's tough to play then, because people are still arriving (at my party, not the Oscars . . . because that's the purpose of the red carpet, silly) and no one has yet settled in to watch the telecast. But these will be perfect for when all eyes are glued to the screen for the awards. Thanks again.

By the way, for future reference (which may not ever happen again, considering the last time Barbra Streisand performed at the Oscars was in 1977 – 36 years ago), but just in case, Barbra spells her name a little unusually . . . with only two “a”s, not three. Only true fans will notice. I'm leaving the typo just to see how observant my friends are . . . many of whom profess to be big Barbra fans. We’ll see just who the true fans of Barbra are.

In any event, thanks again. Happy Oscars.

  17. Oops! Thanks for pointing out the misspelling! I'll correct the PDF later today so you'll have the option of using corrected cards. Or you can use the originals as a quiz for your friends, ha!

  18. Barbra is now corrected. Apologies, Barbra.

  21. Hi! I work at a Residential Care Facility and was thinking of passing out the Oscar Bingo for the residents to do on Oscar Night. Do you ever post the winning blocks somewhere? That way I can double check the winning card(s) on Monday.

  25. These have become a family tradition for us. This will be the third year that my parents come over after the kids are in bed, bringing different ethnic takeout food, and we watch the Oscars and play your bingo after making our predictions on our ballots. Thanks for adding to the Oscar night fun!
