Birthday present
I found this hiding in the cupboard, awaiting my morning latte yesterday. It's a gift from Alex and I love it. (I, um, may have sent him a link to this thing last week just in case he needed any suggestions. A girl can't rely on telepathy, you know.) These kitties are available at Abodeon or ModCloth.
Aww... I love it!! At first, tho, I thought the cats were gonna be upside down when you turned it over to fill it, but I see it's a lid, and not the bottom of the cup. ;)

Oh my love, that is so pretty! Being a cat lover myself, I may try some of that hinicism myself, if it'll get me a cup like that:)

Oh! This reminds me of when I was a little little kid and I found a fancy coffee mug with a matching lid that I gave to my grandma for Christmas... and she liked it! (which is saying a lot, because my grandma's hard to please and she doesn't pull any punches). Anyway... I know that's not really relevant, is it? I really want this mug now!

ReplyDeleteMy birthday is today, and this reminds me about one of the greatest presents my kids gave me when they were little - a whale mug. I esp. loved how the whale-tail fit perfectly in my hand, even more appreciated as arthritis decided to take residence there!
Through the years it broke somehow - so I kept doing searches, and was surprised to actually find not one, but two. Of course, I bought them. Was a cute replacement, and I loved showing my now-adult kids how much that gift meant to me. :D
