Where I'd shop if I had kids and wealth

I don't have kids. But I'd consider acquiring a few, just so I'd have an excuse to fill my house with stuff from French Blossom, a new children's online boutique based in France. One of the owners emailed today to introduce the shop stocked with items from independent French designers. I replied that I don't blog much about kids' products, and told myself I wouldn't do a post. And then I promptly got sucked in by the bright, quirky goodies. I window-shopped for virtual children and bought these items with imaginary money.

If you'd like to spend real money, note that many things are on sale through Valentine's Day. Shop here.

  2. Of course if you have kids you probably don't have any money to spend. At least that's my experience!

    (That bear print is adorable)

  8. I don't have kids either... is it bad to buy the stuff for myself?... Maybe a toy for the dog?...

Thanks for sharing! I enjoy your blog, so much!

  9. So, I'm confused is this a sponsored post? I come here to get ideas for crafts and I have used some of your ideas. Thank you! I don't come here to shop. We're bombarded with things to buy everywhere we turn. Just some feedback. Part of the reason I make things is that I don't want to be a mindless consumer. Ok, I'm done now. Thanks for listening.

  10. I don't think it ever hurts to look at adorable things. Sometimes that is where I get my crafting inspiration. This shop has some darling pillows and mobiles.

  13. Hi guys! To answer the question above, no, this is not a sponsored post. I received no money, goods, baguettes, or croissants in exchange for featuring this shop. I just liked it. :) And people who make things sometimes like to see other creative things. It's inspirational, as the commenter above noted.

Once in a great while, I might feature a shop with things I think are cool, but as I state in my FAQ and advertising section, there aren't paid posts here.

  14. Now that I think about it, this might be the opposite scenario. Grandma G really wants us to have kids, so she probably paid the shop to contact ME in hopes that the products would inspire us to get going. Ha!

  18. I have a board on Pinterest specifically for stuff I would get if I had children. I particularly enjoy things that would humiliate my future children, and I see I don't have enough of those things. Off to Pin!

PS - Great finds!! I love it when blogs show me their favorite products. It's like awesome window shopping (very inspirational) from my favorite people!

  19. I absolutely love the title of this post! As a lady who has neither kids nor wealth (but often imagines what it'd be like to have them both!), it definitely resonated with me! I'm a long-time lurker on your beautiful blog, and I'll definitely be following your example and doing some windowshopping for imaginary Henry and imaginary Jane. :) Thanks!

  20. Admittedly I got a little girl's dress here for my niece for her birthday...but it was absolutely beautiful, so i had to keep it. You know...just in case I have one of my own one day ;p. I should be ashamed!
