Stylish camera accoutrements

There were a couple items on my Christmas list I'd been hoping to receive. Score! After using these for a couple months, I have to post a report.

The red Tokyo Dreamer camera strap is fab. The strap that came with my Canon Rebel XSi is wide, black, emblazoned with Canon all over the place, and let's face it: not cute. My new strap is narrower (3 cm) with a soft, suede lining and a bright leather exterior. Er, not quite; it's actually made from "vegan leather" which is perhaps a code word for vinyl. But whatever it is, it looks just like leather. The strap is sturdy and flexible with a funny Japanese-ish phrase printed at one end. If I were a serious photographer, I suppose I would scoff at someone who cared about the color of their camera strap. Good thing I'm not a serious photographer.

And please check out my new Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home camera bag. My old bag would hold only the camera but no extra lenses. So when I went to shoot photos for a client last time, I wrapped up my extra lens in a fluffy hand towel and stuffed it in my purse. Never again! This bag has removable dividers and amazing amounts of storage, but it's not bulky. Lots of room for future purchases, and the quality is top notch. Did I mention the inside is lime green? Fun.

    these are great camera accessories...I love the crumpler bag...didn't know they did camera bags..have to check it out.. and the strap what a great color...its all about the personality behind the camera so great choices in my book....thanks for sharing

    I LOVE that bag. It's completely perfect in every way! I had something more basic for my old camera, but had to upgrade when I bought a nice DSLR. MIne's orange, though! :P

    Orange Sugar - I love and hate you for those links. I have fallen for that strap and for the lola bag. Now, I just need to figure out how to convince my husband that a $165 camera bag is need and not a want ;)

    I love Crumpler. My bf has a camera bag from them too, and both our laptops cover are from them. They're very functionnal but fun at the same time...

    I adore my crumpler 4 million dollar home - it's black with a lime green interior and holds just the right amount of stuff - camera with lens and either an additional lens or my speed lite flash.

    love the camera bag too, i have the same color combo but in the 6 million dollar home. I have the XSI with attached lens and then 3 more lenses in it and a lot of other accessories.

    fantastic bag. i was torn between this and the brown with the blue interior but i hadn't see the brown in person at the time.
