Maybe this item is supposed to be a vase? I don't know, but I like it. I found it in a vintage shop on Etsy a long time ago, and now it holds stuff on my desk. (Full disclosure: I took out all the ugly pens to make this picture more attractive. I feel compelled to confess that.)
So pretty! Great find.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I think I would need to confess that too. I've got a stash of ugly medical prescription pens- I don't even know where this stuff comes from anymore.
ReplyDeleteThis is very attractive indeed.
ReplyDeleteYou "staged" it?! I knew that. It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am going to clean out my pencil cup now.
this is very cute - thanks for the confession... i may not have had cute pens/pencils to switch out ;)
ReplyDeleteSO perfect for you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank goodness you took out the ugly pens. I was all, "Yeah, 'cause we all have one scissors and 2 pencils on our desk." Ha.
ReplyDeletethanks for keepin' it real.
ReplyDeletei love your disclosure! =)
ReplyDeletevery cute little gem you've got there. mine is a vintage (aka it used to be my deceased MIL's) Ball canning jar.
kinda boring but i love it!
Looks great. haha...that's funny...I like your confession.
ReplyDeletevery nice....:)

ReplyDeleteHello from Austria, I drop by now and then, but everytime it costs me hours!
ReplyDeleteOne reason why I loooove it here is your confession!
Sooo many blogs with soooo many supernice photos, but hey does really really anyone live like in an interiormagazine???
Show a bit from your real life and at least I am your true follower...

I like it!
ReplyDeleteYou should see some of the stuff I have picked up at local thrift stores for my office! Planning stages in the works!
Do you have any photos of your office space to share? I need inspiration. PLEASE!
I bet I have more ugly pens than you do.
ReplyDeleteAnd more vintage stuff. That I still use. 'Cause I'm vintage, too.
Love,
Mum
Thank you for confessing that! Sometimes I can't tell the difference between blogs and Catalog Living (http://catalogliving.net/) and that is troubling for those of us who DO have ugly pens!
ReplyDeleteso pretty- I love the smell of freshly sharpened pencils
ReplyDeleteWorth it for the beautiful photo. Love the simple shapes in the vase design too.
ReplyDeleteLovely. I was admiring the fact that your scissors and pencils were all color coordinated and wondering why I can't manage things so nicely. Now I know the truth. But it makes a lovely photo!

I've been reading your blog for a while - but this made me come out of the woodwork. Love the full disclosure - and the chevron pencil!

:) love the confession!
ReplyDeleteYep that's a good confession. Cause I'm staring at my messy stash of pens and crap on my desk wishing I had a nice pen, ruler and scissor scene to photograph! Not gonna happen!
ReplyDeleteI love monochrome compositions.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheery little vase! And, thanks for the confession :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the flowers!! Its too cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! great find :)
ReplyDeleteNow I need to take a picture of my neat pen, pencil and junk holder! Yours is so pretty and you really didn't have to confess!
ReplyDeleteLove the honesty too, thanks for keeping it real, ha!
ReplyDeleteI would rather use something I found while junking to use unexpectedly than buy something that was made specifically for that purpose. Those touches are what makes a home your special place. Looking at items and re-purposing them is what challenges me creatively..
It's really pretty, and everybody has a ugly pens around the house, so don't worry!
ReplyDeletevery nice! wish i could find treasures like this - guess i need to shop more
ReplyDeleteI'm discovering your blog ans I'm a fan!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice color for this vase! I love it!
Sublime. I can see why you like it!
ReplyDeleteI actually, literally drooled when I saw your vase/pen holder! (Yes, I'm embarrassed, but only slightly) It's super cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness; be sure to wipe that up.
ReplyDeleteI must say that I did notice your perfectly sharpened pencils. ;) I think almost every blogger stages their pictures to a point. I can't take fabulous pics like you do because my camera is nowhere near fabulous, but I can sure stage the heck out of them lol.

I like it too...very much!
ReplyDeleteit's very beautiful : the vase, the pencils, the picture, the light, I LOVE IT !
ReplyDeleteWe all do that. Don't worry.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you confessed that. I follow many blogs that show beautiful and amazing photos like yours. And I always wonder if they are "real-life" photos, because my real like is not like that :)
