I'm a little late to the party on this one since the original post is from January, but I'm compelled to ooh and aah publicly. These are little shortbread button cookies. They're adorable, as is the printable recipe with lovely calligraphy and illustrations. Get it here from Forty-sixth at Grace.

360 grams of flour? What? (:
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea for cookies... tasty and cute!
ReplyDeleteI am a pretty good cook and can't wait to make these cookies for Saturday's sewathon. I am unable to translate grams to cups and teaspoons? Can anyone help me?

ReplyDeleteI made them once. They are pretty yummy.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I am a baker and these would make amazing little cookies with ganache sandwiched in between. I am thinking green tea, lemon butter, and chocolate with matching ganache in between. OH MY! Thank you so much for this post!
ReplyDeleteThese are just about the cutest things I've ever seen. I must make these with my little girl. :-)
ReplyDeleteThought of you when I saw this post:

Those are just adorable, hopefully not too hard to make, might try this when my little nieces come and visit
ReplyDeleteI looked up the metric conversions and these are hopefully the answers but someone please correct me if I'm mistaken:
ReplyDelete360 grams flour = 2 1/2 cups
18 grams cornstarch = 1 1/2 Tablespoons
300 grams butter = 1 1/4 cups, or 2 1/2 sticks
160 grams sugar = 1 1/2 cups
Is "icing sugar" the same as confectioners or powdered sugar? I'm thinking it is.
I love buttons and cookies, so this is absolutely lovely. And the recipe card is so rockin'!
ReplyDeleteSooooo cute!! I will definitely be trying these. And I also wanted to say, your blog is amazing! You have given me so much inspiration with all the projects!! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteoh yes i made these!!! Mine weren't quite as perfect but I'm convinced her photo is before she bakes them and they rise... http://www.flickr.com/photos/87213197@N00/4339402411/in/set-72157622764458130/
