Shortbread button cookies

I'm a little late to the party on this one since the original post is from January, but I'm compelled to ooh and aah publicly. These are little shortbread button cookies. They're adorable, as is the printable recipe with lovely calligraphy and illustrations. Get it here from Forty-sixth at Grace.

I think they'd be adorable for a baby shower.

  18. I love these! I am a baker and these would make amazing little cookies with ganache sandwiched in between. I am thinking green tea, lemon butter, and chocolate with matching ganache in between. OH MY! Thank you so much for this post!

  22. I looked up the metric conversions and these are hopefully the answers but someone please correct me if I'm mistaken:

    360 grams flour = 2 1/2 cups
    18 grams cornstarch = 1 1/2 Tablespoons
    300 grams butter = 1 1/4 cups, or 2 1/2 sticks
    160 grams sugar = 1 1/2 cups

Is "icing sugar" the same as confectioners or powdered sugar? I'm thinking it is.

  26. Incredible. I want to make them right now. So much easier to make these than macaroons, which were all (and still are) the rage. Thanks for this!
