How to make a dog collar and leash
There's a super tutorial over at Sew 4 Home that teaches you how to make a dog collar and leash using jacquard ribbon and webbing. Now you can sew your own version of this. 
Of course there are many lovely ribbons in the world, but I think your poochie would be especially happy walking around in one my designs. Especially if he's very frugal, likes to golf, and lives in a camper. You can get these at Fat Quarter Shop (sold by the yard) or at J Caroline Creative (sold by the roll).

ohhhh, I love! This has Christmas gift for our dog loving friends written all over it...
I don't have a dog, but I have a kitten that bites (and is currently doing so as I type). Do you think I should make her a leash?

I knew I recognized the ribbon I bought! I got the weiner dog ribbon at a fabric shop in Santa Cruz.

Thanks for sharing. Great for making collars that you can customise with your own colors, prints etc. But for walking i'd prefer a more durable one and i don't think i trust my sewing skill hehe.
