2010 Oscar party bingo

Update: Looking for the current edition? Sign up for free Oscar bingo right here.

Looking for extra entertainment during the Academy Awards on March 7? Back by popular demand, it's Oscar bingo. I made cards for our party last year, and it was really fun to play. You can download this year's bingo cards right here; it's a PDF with 12 different sheets. My big disclaimer: I have no idea if it will be possible to win at all, or perhaps someone could win ten minutes into the telecast. If it's a bust, please don't send me hate mail. To supplement your bingo game, you can download and print out the official ballot of nominees right here. It's always fun to see who guesses the most winners. And who guesses the least, so you can make fun of them.

  8. I just got excited about the Oscars some more. Thanks! Playing Bingo with these was one of my favorite parts of watching last year!

  9. LOL, this is too funny. I read the bingo cards and they made me crack up. Unfortunately I don't watch the awards shows but if I did I would be playing along.
    Have fun ladies.

  11. I wasn't able to download the file. The url opened but nothing downloaded and nothing appeared on the page. I'm on a Mac, if that makes a difference. Can you try to attach it another way? Thanks mail [dot] mien [at] hotmail [dot] com

  13. Really cute and funny. Thank you!

  14. abf and anyone having trouble: I'm on a mac, too. The file is about 650 kb, so it might take awhile for it to appear in your browser window if your internet connection isn't super speedy. I tested it twice just now, both in Safari and Firefox, and it worked without a hitch. But since you left me your email address, I'll just email it to you!

  15. This is FANTASTIC!! I love the Oscars (it's an undiagnosed illness, I'm sure) - love them to the point that, when I lived in the UK, my girlfriend and I had a little Oscars party and stayed awake all night watching them (remember - 6 hour time difference!) Thanks for this fun idea.

Also, I, too, use a Mac and had no problem whatsoever opening and saving the file - I used Safari.

  23. Excellent :-D I never watch the Oscar' ceremony (no more the Cesar in France...) but with a bingo it could change everything!!

  25. This looks like fun. I'm going to give it a try and like most people, I will have no qualms about complaining about something that is free.

  26. I don't remember what I did last year. This year I'm trying to decide if I want to cough up the money for fake Oscar statues or save my pennies and just do boxes of popcorn, Sno-caps, Twizzlers, or some other movie food. Blockbuster gift cards would be good, too.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Gee, there MUST be a tutorial somewhere for making your own statues! ;)

  28. Oh yea, the dead person montage is hilarious! wtf? I don't really think you should have listed the deaths of Patrick Swayze and Farrah Faucet.

  29. Great idea. Linked this on my blog today. Thanks for making it happen.

  31. Thanks for the Oscar Bingo cards.. I have a party, every year.. a small gathering of friends. We also have a contest to see who gets the most correct answers by selecting the winners on the Oscar ballot. I give out prizes.. the winner usually gets candles/bath salts - to relax, after a stressful week leading up to the oscars. The looser (one with the least correct) gets Movie tickets and popcorn. Loads of fun.

  32. Hey - I'm new to your site but love it!!! What did you serve food wise for your Oscar Party? I have one every year and I'm always on the lookout for affordable and easy apps...thanks

  34. Thanks, Beth. Kim, I can't remember what food I served last time, but I made "Red Carpet punch," which I'll do again: a modified version of this recipe. This time I'm doing some gourmet pizzas cut into small squares, and haven't figured out the rest yet. Finger food and desserts.

  35. Perfect! That's my birthday and I love the Oscars so it only makes sense to have an Oscar party and these will be so great.

    mucho thanks!

  36. I read about Oscar Bingo as a party suggestion on Evite.com, so I googled the term. And that's how I found your site. This is terrific! I was dreading trying to make some lame design on my own, but now I can shamelessly steal yours! Hope you don't mind, and you're happy with the knowledge that some LA Z-listers will be enjoying your hard work on Sunday!

  37. Wow - this is a GREAT idea!!! I host an annual - girls only - Oscar party! And I LOVE games! I usually do a "guess the oscar gown" game where I find pics online and blur out the faces - have have people guess the famous and not so famous actresses. Last year I did "Best Picture" posters - blurring out the movie names. So much fun! So glad I found your site! P.S. I totally stole the pics for my games off the internet (no copyright) - but if you're interested in any of them - I'm happy to share! Just comment with your email on my blog!

  38. These are awesome! In the past I have used bingo cards from M&Ms.com, but these are much, much better. I have an all-girl oscar pj party and the cards are a big hit! Thanks so much!

  39. Hi!

Today I posted an entry on my blog with a link to this download.

I'd appreciate your letting me know if that's OK.

    Thanks,

  40. Thanks for the bingo cards! I'm definitely using them at my Oscar party on Sunday. I made bingo cards just for the red carpet that you can download free for your Oscar night. Consider it a trade!

  41. Thanks so much for the bingo cards! I have a party for my family every year because they like to dress up and eat "fancy-schmancy" food every year and this game is a great addition to that! You rock!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks for these. I got Bingo by 9:30!

  43. I just wanted to thank you for the clever and entertaining bingo cards. We thoroughly enjoyed them and hope they will be an annual tradition!

  44. Hi, someone told me about this site when they read the Oscar Bingo cards I did for our party at a friend's blog. I'm going to steal some of your ideas for my cards next year. You can see my cards (which don't look nearly as nice as yours) at secondcitysoiree.com

  45. I used your cards. They worked pretty good. Maybe next time not have them be so specific like Sandra Bullock is wearing a red dress. An actress in a red dress would be a nice generic alternative. Thanks for putting them up!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yeah, too bad I didn't go for "Sandra Bullock wears incredibly bright red lipstick." :) It's always a gamble, because I want it to be hard to win, but not discouraging. Worked out great at my party; we had the first winner (who took home an Oscar trophy) plus a couple runners up who also had bingos by the end of the telecast.

  47. Thanks for posting these. My husband and I played together, and even though we only used one card each, we both managed to get a bingo. My only complaint is that he got his first! :)

  48. What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing :)

  50. Will you be doing this again for the next Oscars in February? Let me know, we'd love to feature it on our bingo blog.
