Felt gift bows

Check it out—Kathleen from Twig & Thistle used my gift bow tutorial to make bows out of felt and hot glue. They're so cute! See more of her handiwork in her post right here. It's a great idea, since these are less likely to be permanently mashed in the car on the way to grandma's.

  3. Is it really bad if I don't put bows on my gifts?

  4. I knew you'd say that. Hey, will you make me some bows?

  5. No. You can just recycle the exact same ones you've been sticking on presents since the 70s.

  7. Oh. Okay. Thanks. Actually, I haven't put bows on for the last few years. They stack easier that way. Bet you didn't even notice the lack of bows, did you? Haha!

  10. Much easier to re-use than traditional paper bows, and cuter too!

  13. This is a great idea. I have been making bows (for work) from your tutorial all week.

Can't say i usually put bows on presents i wrap but my presents come out pretty shabby looking on their own. I agree that they don't stack as well either since mine all get packed in the car and drove 6 hours up to michigan.

Might have to try this though, your tutorial has made me a pro, lets make it harder.

  14. Hmmm.. I think I'll have to give these a try. Haven't used bows in a number of years. When you have to ship a package over 4000 miles you have a tendency to be rather lean in your presentation. But we will be moving soon so next year I can go back to putting bows on packages!

I haven't used bows in a long time either. Might have to try these though. Thanks for sharing.

  16. "Mom" doesn't text. Doesn't even have a cell phone. BUT... she and Jess will actually be in the same room in just over a week! YAY!!
