Orange watermelons and how to carve them

Some inspiring watermelon carving went on at the Craft Social. And then I find out that my mum is growing New Queen watermelons, which have orange flesh. Get out! Where can I buy one of these orange guys in Chicago? And then, what can I do to him? Here's a list of carving ideas with instructions for anybody who wants to do some surgery.

  1. I guess you'll just have to make another trip home and get one of mine. I in fact ate some of it just a couple hours ago. Very good, even though could've been a tad riper. And VERY JUICY!

  9. One of the fruits I crave (I'm not so much a carver...) most often in my favouritest colour! Yay! It makes me happy in the same way that white cherries and purple cauliflower does. :-)
