Make stuff with people
Chicago area ladies, you're all invited to an evening of snacking, chatting, and making stuff! Even if you only feel about 2% crafty, that's okay, because we'll have a variety of projects you could choose from and people to help you. Or bring along that thing you've been procrastinating on and finish it in the company of other creative people. Motivation by osmosis. I'm helping to plan this Craft Social with a few friends, and we are terribly excited about meeting you all! To get the details and RSVP, visit the Craft Social site.

oh, that makes me sad that I can't come. I live about 5 minutes away but I have family in that weekend. I hope it goes fabulously.
And I live about 9 hours away, so I'm sad, too. ;-(
Mum
(P.S. Is this okay?) ;-)))
Further proof that I need to move there so we can be BFFs. Dammit!
Yeah, get yourself over here!!!
I wish I lived in Chicago! I must say, I really love that you are doing this; what a really neat way to connect this whole blogsphere (I never thought I would ever use that word.....)
Well, you could come to Chicago for Memorial Day weekend. :) Or better yet, start up your own Craft Social branch where you live. Woo hoo!
YES...I'll be there!
I wish they had craft events/fairs in Denver!
bummer. wanna come.
I would SERIOUSLY consider driving 13 hours to come to this! Have another one this summer please please please
If this one's a success, I bet we will!
Don't think I'd manage the commute from Melbourne but I'll be dreaming about it.
Anid :-)
I'd love to come from Toowoomba, Queensland,Australia. If I had the time and I could afford it I'd be three in a flash!
Have fun...
Wow! Wish I could go, too!
Whaaa! I wanna go:-( It's a little too far of drive from Dallas. Have fun!
Oh, how I wish I lived closer! I am all the way in California!
Have a glorious time! Sounds so fun!
PS LOVE the key holder! Adorable!!!
Be well

I find this to be incredibly unfair : ( How about planning a Craft Social weekend event in Austin!? You can stay in our guest bedroom.
I always find out about this stuff too late! GRR!
And here I am, thinking, "Why on earth would Jess, of all people, be having a Soylent Green-themed event?"
Crafting fits you much better, I do believe.
Mahan, I was SO confused by your comment, not having seen the movie. I skimmed the plot summary, which didn't give anything away, but now I think I have a guess. This must be about my post title, right?
Man, that's only 82 miles (1 hr 40) from Milwaukee. I could combine it with an Ikea trip. Hope my hubby hasn't committed us to a holiday cook-out.
*chuckling*
Here you go, Jess.
How About Orange is PEOPLE!!!
Yeah, I figured. :)
by using the geographical description "chicago area" you might have people from Indiana show up. Are you sure you want people from Indiana at your event?
OH, man! Wish I could make it, but I'm pretty far away. Too bad I won't be visiting my parents then--they live in the Chicagoland area (that's what you call it, right?). Maybe it will work out sometime...maybe I should send my Mom! That's an idea. She's really crafty.
Lisa P.
Yeah, send your mom! And OIJOY, I sure hope so!! Hee hee. I love people from Indiana. Okay, I only know 2. But they're cool. :)
Man, I want to organize something like this for Orlando - where are all the crafty ladies hiding at? I'm in the 2 percentile but I'd still like to mingle with crafty like minded women!
this is such an amazing idea...and really...another reason i'd love to move to Chicago! :) maybe this is a sign....
I could go! But blogger hasn't been letting me leave comments, I hope I am not too late!
So jealous!! You're totally making me want to try something here in H town!
Breezy Babies, consider yourself signed up! No problem.
