Apartment Therapy just posted a peek at Pantone's 2010 home and interiors color trend forecast. I like 'em a lot. Selected palettes:
Greenmarket (Yum!)
Galaxy (Note to self: learn to like purple.)
Gatherings (Nice and earthy.)

you totally have to learn to like purple because, don't right, it looks awesome with orange!
ReplyDeleteyeah, purple is hard. I try to avoid it at all costs. Altho a plummy purple looks lovely with a sky blue or charcoaly grey.
ReplyDeleteHey Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad to learn of these color palettes from Pantone! I attended a Benjamin Moore 2010 Color Forecast a few months ago, too. It'll be interesting to see if they line up.
Have a great day!
ummmm...I don't see ANY orange in there! Tragic.
ReplyDeleteI like the Greenmarket. I think I have nearly every one of those colors, or very close to them, in the fabric spread out all over our spare bed. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMimosa was Pantone's color of the year. CMYK 0,15,75,5. I think it's orange-ish, so there you go!
ReplyDeleteYellowy! Close enough. I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteWell, purple IS the complement of...oh, some other color.
ReplyDelete:)
So I hear. :)
ReplyDeleteSweeet- love some Pantone! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove love love the colors...all of them, but I'm with you when it comes to purple. Hardly any of it in my stash. I tried the little envelope sack...worked like a charm;)
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite :) And...I think my blog is in 'galaxy'...
ReplyDeletePurple...do I really have to try to like it?
ReplyDeleteBIG QUESTION: Where is orange, the best color in the whole world.?
YES! greenmarket is so yum! wow 2010 already?????? I can't believe a decade has almost come up
ReplyDeleteman, it's going to be hard to jump on the purple train.
ReplyDeleteohhh... I've been trying to resist buying those gorgeous Pantone's mugs... but you're making it very hard to do.
ReplyDeleteOoh yes. Relaxing, but fun.
ReplyDeleteGreenmarket is gorgeous, but I am starting to love those earthy colors of Gatherings too!
ReplyDeleteGreenmarket is definitely my favorite! And I won't "do" purple whether they say it's trendy or not!
ReplyDeletelol, I'm with ya on learning to love purple! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of purple either. blurgh...
ReplyDeleteHmm, I do like purple alot myself, but I am not to crazy of any of the shades in the galaxy collection. Too muddy...not enough purpleness...and actually....don't all the colors seem a bit muted, or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the "learn to like purple." I see purple as a big upcoming trend, and know I need to design with it, but it's pretty much my least favorite color. So I bought an inexpensive purple cardigan at Target and have been wearing it on and off for the past month. It has really helped me figure out purple as I go through my wardrobe trying to find something to wear with it. Discovery: purple goes great with white, black, and rich yellow. This week I printed one of my new products for the season...in purple!
ReplyDeletei have a tough time looking at purple walls; it hurts my teeth.
ReplyDeletei love lilac and purple flowers, and rough cut amethyst beads, however...
