Update: Looking for 2013 Oscar bingo? Grab it right here!
A few friends are coming over Sunday night to watch the Oscars, so I searched the trusty internet to find some party ideas. Evite suggested Oscar Bingo, which sounds hilarious, so I googled to find some examples. Then I pilfered a few things other people wrote from here and here and added some of my own squares to make game sheets. Since I went to the trouble, I figured I'd post the PDF here in case anybody else wants to play along during the telecast. (There are ten different sheets in the file.) Whether this game will even work is hard to say. But I think it will be fun to try. And I'll be making some Red Carpet Cocktails for us to sip. Any red drink or punch would be fun, but I'm planning to use this one (scaled down and possibly modified). Have fun!
Hysterical! "White person says 'yes we can'!" So funny, love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea, thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this bingo game. How fun! We have a small Oscar party every year where we fill out our personal ballots before the show starts. We even have really terrible winner & loser trophies (that somehow always end up at my house no matter who won them!). This bingo will make a really fun addition - thanks! Have a great party!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing, I'm going to add a link to this in my Oscar Party Roundup.

ReplyDeleteThank you for this!! My friend is hosting an oscar party and she's gonna love this. You're awesome!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute. i love this idea.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh so cute!
ReplyDeleteWe do this every year with friends. There's a prize for the first person to win the "red carpet bingo", and then a prize for the most correct award ballot. The winner gets to host the next year. Of course, I don't think I've ever hosted ... but I do have a good time! It's a great tradition to start!
ReplyDeleteI love Oscar night! BC (before children) I also ised to host - we gave away prizes for the person who guessed the exact minute the first award was given out, who reached 10 correct oscar winners first, and had some "oscar trivia" games, too! way too much fun (I wish they were on Saturdays so we could really party :)
ReplyDeleteactually two of the girls in my quilting group have an annual awards night party and get dressed up to the nines, watch the awards, guess the winners and have fun!
ReplyDeletegreat idea!
Corrie:)
Thanks for the great Bino game! It'll be a hit at the party tonight!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks! We're taking these to the party tonight.
ReplyDeleteNow to whip up a prize....eek...
Thanks for sharing! this was PERFECT!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a huge hit last night - thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThe hubby and I did this for fun and it was a BLAST! This will be our new tradition.
ReplyDeleteWe never watch them from start to ending without a little DVR fast forward but we had such a good time checking our boxes. I won...double fun.
Thanks for sharing this!!! Me and my friends had a small oscar's party and this was a hit, it kept us glued to the tv. Every time something happened that was on the board we started screaming with glee. It was definetly a hit!!! By the way I LOVE YOUR BLOG!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the BINGO! I brought it to my friends' Oscar party and it was a huge hit. It definitely brought out the competitive nature in at least one of the guests, but alas, nobody got a full line.
ReplyDeleteGreat fun!
We used your bingo cards last night and had a blast. Made our Oscar Party really fun. Thank you!

Just wanted to say thank you for this! We printed them out when a few friends came over to watch the Oscars last night and they helped me stay awake much longer than I would have otherwise! We were cheering the winners on: "Come on, wasn't Marisa Tomei BRAVE?"
ReplyDeleteHope you had lots of fun with it too!
Thanks! My family and I had so much fun last night with the game. I was going to do something like this of my own...I am glad I found yours because I see I would have been way off on how it would work. Too cool. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out to be super fun! We had some bingos. (Not all at the same time. :) The best is when everyone starts yelling things like, "Trip! Trip!" Or "Come on, cry!" (Though there was quite a bit of argument around what exactly counted as crying. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Hello, Jenny from Sweden!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for this idea. my mom, sister, and i had a blast yelling at the winners to go ahead and lift that statue up over their heads. we got so excited when the winner of best foreign film thanked his "pencil" and decided that counted as unintelligible.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we LOVED that guy and cheered for him! "WHAT did he just say? Did he just thank his pencil?!?" Big check on that Bingo square. :)
ReplyDeleteYour bingo cards made it my most entertaining Oscars ever. Once the game was done, so was I! Thanks for the good times!
ReplyDeletePlaying bingo pretty much made my entire Oscar party! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I attended an Oscar party with a similar game: before the awards began, each guest was given a sheet with all the categories and nominations listed and then circled their prediction for each winner. We each also contributed $20 and the person who had the most correct answers won all the money. Sadly, that person was not me, but it was still fun!
ReplyDeleteWe did the ballot thing, too, along with the bingo. But no money changed hands. Too bad, because I guessed the most winners!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS! We are having guest tonight and we are looking forward to playing your oscar games. Thanks for being so creative, those of us who are not really appreciate YOU!
